Mr Olalekan Ogunkoya is a 53 years old widower with two children.
On the 13th of September 2023, he was on his way to his friends house when he heard a gunshot and joined others in running without knowing the cause.
The policemen were able to catch up with him because he is too old to run fast. He was arrested and taken to the police station.
A week after his arrest he was arraigned in court with two other boys he has never met in his life and arraigned for belonging to Eiye Confraternity.

Advice no one wants to hear:
you HAVE to put in the work or it isn't going to happen. this means, yes, you're going to need to actually work constantly for a solid year to reach your goals. probably longer than that, honestly. you are going to be tired and it isn't as easy as anyone makes it out to be. but if you don't get up and make the change in your life, no one is.

In the second year of my MFA in Iowa, an essay of mine got a Notable Entry in Best American Essays. Someone in my program emailed me asking which essay, asked for a copy and went to a party to rip the essay apart. he rubbished the essay to everyone.
