Ponder has work-in-progress support for eth_query methods. Backfilling standard logs data is 5-10x faster. Transactions, traces, and transfers are 100x faster.

Few get it but the most innovative/helpful tool from last cycle was not privy (they are great! and #2!) but @ponder_sh
with AI you can literally have an indexer for any app with one prompt while before it was one of the main bottlenecks of developing dapps

Monad is adding support for eth_fillTransaction soon.
Without it, you need separate RPC calls for nonce (eth_getTransactionCount), gas limit (eth_estimateGas), and fee params (eth_gasPrice / eth_maxPriorityFeePerGas). eth_fillTransaction collapses that into one call and returns a fully populated unsigned tx ready to sign externally.
viem already calls eth_fillTransaction when the node supports it, so this is a free speedup for every viem user on Monad.

The perfect end to end Ethereum app is @vercel and @marblexyz.
If you’re doing anything else you’re trying too hard

Latest version of Ponder is faster because of performance improvements in decodeAbiParameters

btw @ponder_sh gud product
nowadays so much faster and flexible to use ponder than to actually set up a full subgraph
today built with it an indexer for token mints then enriches on chain identity with @ethos_network data + some other stuff and it was super fast to set up

I would say one of the announcements in a while that has gotten me this hyped 👀
Goated product launch from a goated team - @typedarray and @kyscott18 really do be cooking
Ngl if you are building your backends out from scratch - @ponder_sh + now, @marblexyz can cut your dev times by so much and even make your code a lot more scalable and robust

Just released evmstate, a TypeScript library to trace & visualize state changes on EVM chains, with human-readable labels (variable names, mapping keys, decoded values, etc).

Big shoutout to @ponder_sh
We've built a functional replacement for the four subgraphs indexing @juiceboxETH on multiple chains. Clients can now get omnichain data in a single request instead of four.
@bannynet is already using it with juicebox.money and the @revnets app soon to follow

An undertold story of the Ethereum's moat. The platform we take for granted when the evm and related tooling is built from first-principles
h/t to @ponder_sh on making it super easy to spin up an indexer. If you've interacted with our interop devnet and wondered how the autorelayer works so quickly, it subscribes to a feed of pending messages from ponder!

I built an open source indexer + frontend for participating in @ENS_DAO governance
It's not necessarily meant to add new functionality, but rather exist as a backup/alternative to existing tools. Having multiple frontends to interact with smart contracts is important!

we use ponder for @UniDexFinance.
Its goated and other projects should start converting from @thegraph to @ponder_sh

There is a secret cabal of javascript ethereum libraries who all support each other and have nothing holding them together except for a religious devotion to Typesafety

I've been working on a new compiler for Solidity in my free time and I'm ready to open-source it.
It's not meant to deploy new contracts, but rather for evm simulations.
It shares no code with solc, and is written fully in TypeScript.

"Just use Ponder"
I have a more extensive write-up about my experience using Ponder for indexing.

What's your highest productivity stack for web3?
Mine is Forge/Viem/Ponder/Next (Pages Router!)/TypeScript/React Query/tRPC (w/ Superjson)/Zod/Prisma/Tailwind/PostHog
Yeah, it's a lot of buzzwords, but I feel like I can pump out anything in < a week w/ this.

*We built @Untitled on @ponder_sh*
Amazing product.
Using @ponder_sh for the first time today, holy shit this is awesome

If you are using the ethereum-bloom-filter 1.1.0
(github.com/joshstevens19/eth…) you should upgrade to 1.2.0 now. Thanks to @typedarray, who spotted the issue of isTopicInBloom missing identifying a topic correctly due to how it converted bytesToHex. 1.1.0 is now deprecated; it seems it only affects a few topics, but it is worth upgrading to avoid the risk of missing events when using the logs bloom when indexing. 1.0.0>1.0.10 is fine and unaffected; 1.1.0 is the only version with the bug in.
