Pay Founder/CEOs more. But "Founder/CEOs have equity, you need to keep them hungry so they push for a big pay day!" says every finance bro who has never built a company. Dude, the only thing that you hear from your spouse, your friends, random people who barely know you once your equity is over ten million is: "your stock is worth more than you need. Sell the business and enjoy the cash. If you have the itch, you can start another company." And ten million dollars in this game is nothing. We can debate if selling when you've made enough to live comfortably is good advice for the Founder/CEO or not. But for investors, it's awful. Be a greedy investor. Push for a mega-exit. Pay Founder/CEOs more.
