Honestly it's pretty amazing being able to work with both 2D and 3D components at the same time in @trytriplex, damn
I've been testing out the upcoming @v0 agent release and… I've never had so much fun 😁
Using a @sketchfab 3d model, I was able to guide v0 to do a pretty good rendition of Stripe Press, one of the coolest sites on the internet.
One of the things you'll notice this week is that you can be much more ambitious & 'full stack' with the things you ask v0… it makes *a lot* fewer mistakes. Just like any AI, it won't perfectly nail everything and you'll have to provide feedback, but at no point did it get stuck in a *programming* sense.
It had to do some pretty hard things to render this book. For instance, the Sketchfab model didn't have "UV mappings", which as I've learned, is the geometry that describes the 'target' of a texture. I generated the textures using AI itself (FLUX by @bfl_ml is quite insane). Then v0 had to do a lot of tricky math to decide which parts of the geometry constitute the "front" of the book and the "back" of the book.
I got to learn a lot from building this even though I actually didn't write a single line of code, which is a testament IMO to the power vibe coding gives you. I think we'll see a lot more 'custom' experiences on the web in the coming years, from ecommerce to content, using 3D (threejs), generative video & images, and 3d worlds.

This might not look like much but it's fixing a long standing bug where selections would break unexpectedly
Left is before, selection becomes directionalLight
Right is after, no change
Previously selections used line+column, in the next version of @trytriplex it uses AST path

For those using Next.js, what kind of support would you expect in Triplex?
Right now there's nothing specific available. I see two critical features that Triplex needs to support:
1. Stub Next.js APIs (Link / Image / ...)
2. React Server Components; and
What do you think?

The number input UX in @trytriplex is improving!
Previously you'd meticulously update each input before seeing anything change!! 🤡
Now it sets default values so you get immediate feedback. I should have done this a year ago 🤪!
