He's far from a simp, he and Shayera are in eternal love. His history makes complete sense. Read the 2018 run and it lays it out for you perfectly. He's got some cool Villains too like Hath-Set, Gentleman Ghost, or Vandal Savage. He's a great character.

These are just cool, thematic moments. You should check them out. Hawkman 2018 isn't a bad place to start, it's pretty new reader-friendly. If you still think the character is lame afterwards then that's fine. But it should be quality enough that you might change your mind.

Hawkman is extremely cool

Dan Mora drawing Billy Batson/Captain Marvel is always such a treat. He's realized so well, it's the perfect mix of classic & modern. I'd kill for DC to put Mora on another Shazam! ongoing or have him draw a team book where Captain Marvel is a regular member.

Justice League: Dark Realm Special by Dan Mora is ASTOUNDING! All this time... DAN MORA HAS BEEN HELD BACK?! This issue sees him fully unleashed and it is AMAZING. His Captain Marvel as always is PERFECT, but his Billy dialogue is great (save for 1 moment). Cadejos is AMAZING!

Justice League Unlimited #24 PROVES Mark Waid is at his best on this title when the team is tearing itself apart and disagreeing on how to move forward. The drama is written EXTREMELY well. I loved the little "Ray-" from Hawkman, who I was glad was included. JLU is hit or miss,

There's no way. Is this really considered ginger? This is my exact hair color and I've always considered myself blonde.

Okay, I love it, BUT PLEASE MAKE HIM CGI! WE NEED PETER CLAFFEY AVAILABLE FOR A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS SEASON 3!!!

THIS IS LITERALLY PEAK CASTING OMG BUT PLEASE MAKE HIM CGI AND DO VOICEOVER, WE NEED HIM AVAILABLE FOR A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS SEASON 3!!!

Ya, if you're looking for some Dan Mora comics then Knightfight has some pretty good art in it from him. It's basically Batman going to alternate Universes and fighting his Robins as their own Batmen. It's 4 issues! This and JLU are the Batman-related stuff he's done lately afaik
