Dan Mora drawing Billy Batson/Captain Marvel is always such a treat. He's realized so well, it's the perfect mix of classic & modern. I'd kill for DC to put Mora on another Shazam! ongoing or have him draw a team book where Captain Marvel is a regular member.

Justice League: Dark Realm Special by Dan Mora is ASTOUNDING! All this time... DAN MORA HAS BEEN HELD BACK?! This issue sees him fully unleashed and it is AMAZING. His Captain Marvel as always is PERFECT, but his Billy dialogue is great (save for 1 moment). Cadejos is AMAZING!

The way he seamlessly weaves this new character into the main DCU and makes him feel like he's had this history already is just amazing. The other two characters are still just meh to me. You can tell Cadejos is the one Dan has put the most effort into. Anyway, this whole story

has shown me that Dan actually really likes Billy, but also he's a decent storyteller on his own. This could easily spinoff into a Justice League Dark ongoing, or even backups in the main JLU, and I'd love it. Simply amazing stuff.

Justice League Unlimited #24 PROVES Mark Waid is at his best on this title when the team is tearing itself apart and disagreeing on how to move forward. The drama is written EXTREMELY well. I loved the little "Ray-" from Hawkman, who I was glad was included. JLU is hit or miss,

this time IT HIT! Then, we got to the Dreamer story, and... it was basically setup/exposition slop. Nothing special, but I'm interested to see what her role will be in this Saga.

Superman #18 was actually pretty good! I know this issue is getting a lot of flack for the Steelgirl stuff, but I'm honestly enjoying the Tomorrow Man storyline. I still dislike the name but I'm enjoying Jon's characterization and how he's trying to be his own person. I dislike

that's a whole nother can of worms about why you shouldn't age up characters in an alternate earth with time shenanigans. Point is, I feel like this Tomorrow Man arc is good and, structurally, would work best between Superboy & Superman, but continuity has put us where we are now

Forgot to mention: I also REALLY like that Jon is making a commit to rescuing Ultraboy. 😊

DC Comics has announced Green Lantern: Doomed Cosmos #1 by Dan Watters and Kyle Hotz. It is a new six-issue DC Elseworlds series that transforms the Green Lantern mythology into a sprawling cosmic war where the human race is the enemy and Hal Jordan may be the universe’s best hope for survival. Issue 1 drops on Jan 20,2027! Via:(dc.com/blog/2026-10-19/dc-un…)

Legion of Super-Heroes #2 was really good! Like I said, I've only read the Legion w/ Jon, but I'm LOVING the tone of his comic and the introduction of these characters. Garth's brother is interesting & GARTH'S SISTER BETRAYING THEM was a great twist! Saturn Girl stuff is least

interesting to me so far because I have no idea what she and her people are saying. Still a good issue overall though!

Teen Titans #2 was essentially the perfect followup issue. The team's beautifully explored with some amazing dynamics. The drama is ripe with plenty of exploration to do in the future. Standouts: LOVED JASON AND LIAN. Their connection matters to me. I'm liking Ezra a lot!

I'm actually surprised by how the new characters are quickly growing on me, even the grumpy one. Fairplay I've been a fan of since he was brought back, though I still wonder where Quiz Kid went... anyway, good issue! Very strong!

THEY'RE DOING IT! THE AMAZING RED HOOD & CHESHIRE CAT DYNAMIC IS HAPPENING IN THE PAGES OF TEEN TITANS! 😍😍😍 This is basically EXACTLY what I was hoping for (and more)!

I HOPE Kyle Higgins' Teen Titans acknowledges the connection between Lian and Jason via Roy Harper. As Red Hood and Cheshire Cat, they have the potential for a great dynamic. Especially considering Jay's role in reconnecting Lian with Roy (however minor).

Ted Grant is currently The Spectre in the DC Universe. I hope they don't forget this soon!

I really liked Spirit World and this sounds like a fantastic story to set up revolving around Starfire, playing to her strengths. I just wish DC would stop lying about her being gone from Titans because of her solo. Nightwing is literally still a Titan. Very lame excuse.

DC Comics has announced Starfire by Alyssa Wong and Belen Ortega! It releases in April 2027. It is being described as Red Sonja Meets One Piece. "Starfire has left earth and is going home. Tameran is under siege. She is confronting twisted family relationship. Blackfire is Wong's favorite. Pirates & Governmental espionage type beat. Belen wanted to build something new and they are focusing on world building/aesthetic". Cover isn't related to the book. Via:@comicskirby
