Despite everything, I have a new paper with @timothyjlayton @borisvabson @AdelinaYWang: nber.org/papers/w28331 Distract yourself from the woes of the world by reminding yourself about the woes of privatized health insurance markets! 1/17 (I know. I promise it’s worth it.)

This whole thread is important, but what gets me is how *kind* @michaelannica is throughout this whole process. This is someone who researches the admin burdens consumers face in health care telling us that the problems are so much bigger than each human involved along the way.

Very grateful to work for an org that gave us bounceback email language to use for the next two weeks that essentially says “back it up, dummies. The world is aflame.”

I've heard payers say "we want to meet our members where they're at" too many times to count. But @toyinajayidoc and her team at @cityblockhealth are actually walking the walk by hiring community members to identify needs at patients' homes. Thanks for sharing at #AHIPInstitute!
