In an interview in the late 90's, I once got a bit too in to my persona and said "i put the slash in tcp/ip." And I approve of your direction
Met with an AWS newhire today and she had....questions...about a number of our roadmap and marketing decisions in the run-up to re:Invent. I told her to follow @QuinnyPig, it's more insightful than the QBR docs.
Also, I've officially communicated my intent to retire at the end of the year. More on that post-re:Infect (traditionally held the week after re:Invent)

It's like someone who has never had to do an expense report in their life sat down and vibe coded an expense reporting app with the lowest-cost model.

It normally takes me let's say 7 minutes to complete an expense report on concur? After my third day (only like, 5-10 min a day fighting it), this was literally the first time in my entire career that I gave up and watched the training video. THEN STILL had no idea how it worked
To whoever picked our new expense tool "emburse," I hope you got a kickback, and management finds out, and you go to jail for fraud.

You haven't lived until you've needed a yubikey to turn on your vacuum cleaner

I kind of miss cyber monkey Insanity month, it was a way for me to categorize people quickly
