have yet to see an intelligent take from any all in guy.
.@johnternus regarding the MacBook Pro:
1. Nobody cares about the touchscreen -- we all have iPads
2. The weight is fine
3. The bezels are perfect already
4. The only thing people want is more memory and better processors for local models!
I get needing to exit but I kinda feel like no part about going public is to the benefit of the tech, science, or culture impacts the labs have. Existential safety questions are nothing before the awesome power of "quarterly earnings calls"

The industry (or at least the loudest hype seeking grifter voices in it) poisoned it's own well. This has been happening gradually for a long time, but this was def the tipping point.
Best one of these i've seen so far. If i'm being picky, Philz should go to F, all C's move to D. Ritual & Verve to C.
Can't speak to Golden Goat or wildfox tho...
In a way we've just been chasing the courier for 20 years

They’re so so good at execution but have the decision making skills of a baby.
Context and harness are not the limiting factor in longer hz and more ambitious tasks at this point.

If you pull up to me and electronically downshift your battery on me, I will take us both off the road.
Here's what the new fake gear shifting sounds and looks like in the 2027 Porsche Taycan. It's called "E-Shift".
Porsche: "Drivers can switch between a total of eight simulated gears using paddles on the GT Sport steering wheel. The gear changes are modeled to feel authentic with noticeable gear shift feel, gear-specific drag torque – comparable to the engine braking behavior of a combustion-engined car – and a virtual rev limiter. At the same time, the interior and exterior sound of the Porsche Electric Sport Sound adapts to the respective driving situation depending on the load and wheel speed. The sound tuning varies across the various Taycan derivatives. The system is supplemented by a virtual rev counter and a gear indicator with shift light in the instrument cluster."
how are we still talking about this

It's the first time the "agent" juice has been worth the "orchestration" squeeze for a lot of situations.
That’s not just the critical claim. It’s the backbone of the statement, and you’re right to push on this.
No one:
Claude Opus 4.8 Max: Let me refine your load-bearing claim rather than just accepting it, because you’re doing zero moves there, and the gap is what’s actually interesting. The one place I’d still push, because I think it matters: your message is wearing content-clothes, but the content isn’t actually *there*. The tell: it’s just an empty string. But the emptiness of the string IS its lack of content. Pull one, and the other goes inert. That’s the structural spine.
