Proud to be part of this nonprofit project / social experiment. We helped facilitate more than $15k in frictionless donations to Albuquerque nonprofits in 2020 through our Venmo-like donation app & we're 100% volunteer run - we don't take a cut on any transactions.

We've made donating to charity as easy as sending money to a friend on Venmo. Now it's just a matter of spreading the word.
So far, 138 people have made 786 donations through our app, totaling $14,861 for New Mexico nonprofits.

To the philanthropically-inclined whose giving hasn't matched your intent, now is the time. Almost every nonprofit is being asked to do more with less. That money sitting in your donor advised fund doesn't help people; the nonprofits doing the work help people.
What if there was a way to turn pandemics and natural disasters into stimulus packages for non-profits? A way to bring Economics 101 back to grocery store prices, keeping toilet paper and hand sanitizer stocked for everybody, without exploiting anybody.

Thread (1/16). How is that our economic statistics suggest workers have been making slow but steady progress in recent decades, while popular perception is that their family finances are coming under increasingly untenable pressure? I've been working on this, here's my answer:
☀️𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗬☀️ We launched the beta version of our app! To show what it can do, so we're sending $10 to the first 25 people who follow us and comment with their Token Ibis handle. Simply sign up on the web app (link: app.tokenibis.org).
People with developmental disabilities are capable of living fulfilling lives & providing tremendous value to society. They just need some specialized assistance to get there. Mandy’s Farm has been providing that service in ABQ for 20 years & and we're proud to partner with them.
New Mexico’s unique climate, nature, and wildlife make it a truly special place to live. It’s important that we appreciate & maintain these ecosystems for the next generation, which is why we are happy to be partnering with an organization that helps do just that, @friendsofvdo.
Homelessness in Albuquerque is an issue that’s impossible to ignore. That’s why we’re happy to be partnering with & supporting @cabq’s #OneAlbuquerque Housing Fund, a program that helps ABQ citizens who have fallen on hard times to get off the streets and get back on their feet.
Education & economic opportunity often go hand in hand. For marginalized adults who lack basic literacy, joining the workforce is incredibly difficult. We’re proud to partner with @ReadWestInc, a non-profit that educates New Mexicans so that they can pursue new opportunities.

It’s estimated that Albuquerque has over 5,000 homeless youth on any given night. What’s worse, homelessness often leads to sex trafficking and other forms of exploitation. We’re partnering with @NMDreamCenter, a non-profit that serves these vulnerable young people of New Mexico.
We’re fortunate to live in a time & place where it's not controversial to say that all human beings should be treated equally. But this idea is relatively new & there are still many hearts and minds to win over. We’re happy to partner with @HolocaustNM and share in their mission.
Sexual assault, rape, and sex trafficking are important issues in Albuquerque & they can cause life-long emotional trauma to victims. We’re partnering with the @rapecrisis to support them in the work that they do to prevent these crimes & help victims heal.

In an age when philanthropic intent is often much greater than actual giving, Chuck Feeney created the model for giving while living. He gave virtually his whole fortune while living, ramping down his foundation over time rather than creating a legacy org.

Charity is all about making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. One non-profit that’s making a positive impact for Albuquerque families and children in need is @nmCTHF , and we’re thrilled to be partnering with them to support this valuable work.
