ALT The slide contains a section about my background: I managed the EAG process at the Turing, am working with the Ada Lovelace Institute on recommendations for ethics committees in data science, and am being mentored through Open Life Science to ensure best open science practices in An Incomplete History Of Research Ethics. Section two introduces three example stories that need developing: Haber & Stornetta's "How to Time-Stamp a Digital Document" embedding a moral code in blockchain; Florence Nightingale's use of data visualisation; and the Mercator Projection, showing that mathematical assumptions can have political implications. The final section lists the contribution types to collaborate with the project. There are story contributions (Research; Review; Conceptualisation; Proofreading; Copy-editing; Authorship or Co-authorship) and sustainability contributions (Communications, Policy-making, engineering and ideation).
