Just got this S680 upgraded from the old GS3 to a Gen5 right on the armrest.
If you’re still running older displays, now’s the time to get it done before harvest starts. Cleaner setup and better info where you need it.

Does anybody know of a 20” @maya_cornheads for downed corn? @corn_porkNbeans We have a need for it for this fall. We’ve got about 510 acres of this. Thanks.
Question for x9 owners and or operators. Do you leave the manual adjust front Chaffer open when harvesting soybeans as you would for corn or close it? The book says to leave open at 25mm like corn. Talking with some guys opinions seem to be divided on open versus closed. Thanks!

Ken Ferrie walks through an additional step to take when assessing hail damage in corn to conduct informed and realistic counts on what might survive.

Our agronomy team was out today doing some field evals with growers in the hail damaged areas to the south. We will have more to come on what they saw next week. For those coming to the Corn and Soybean College, can report the campus has escaped the hail/wind damage so far.

Anybody out there a John Deere M5E on Ethernet expert??
Our new-to-us planter won’t plant the correct seeding rate. Some rows low, some high. Tech has been here 2x to reprogram still nothing. It is commanding the wrong (different) RPM for drives. Drives fine, meters fine. 🤷🏻

Crops in east-central Illinois needed rain this weekend, but some were met with damaging downburst winds.
Several corn fields east of Homer, Illinois in Champaign County were completely flattened by Saturday's storms.

Did you know that the price of corn in Oct of 1974 was $3.80. Corrected for inflation, that $3.80 would be worth $24.84 in today's $. Current price at my local elevator for corn is $3.89. Think about that. I think we are (or need to be) on the cusp of a paradigm shift in Ag.
