Great @CERN lecture note on the basics of RF electronics, covering mixers, filters, directional couplers, oscillators, amplifiers, attenuators, scattering matrices, transfer functions, and more.
A useful reference for RF, ham radio, and SDR work:

My teams have completed all necessary checks and testing of the Cebreros station. After careful review, we have declared the antenna GREEN for nominal operations as of 27 July.
Onsite presence will be kept to a minimum, in accordance with restrictions in the area. I sincerely hope that the situation in the area returns to normal as soon as possible, and that everyone affected remains safe during this challenging period.
Once again, I’d like to thank my workforce, local authorities and first responders on the ground.
Based on current information, the Cebreros station appears to have remained unharmed. My deepest thanks go to the Spanish emergency services whose efforts helped protect the site as wildfires approached.
The safety of our people remains my highest priority. All ESA workforce is safe and accounted for, although many colleagues continue to be affected by the wider emergency situation. I keep you all in my thoughts.
We remain in close contact with the relevant authorities as the situation continues to evolve. As always, I will keep my workforce and the public informed. Please keep safe.
Extreme heat and subsequent wildfires are the clearest indication that our climate is changing. I pledge to continue to advocate for increased monitoring and understanding of our planet.

One pattern I find useful for working with LLMs is a nice long ramble session. Sometimes the LLM needs more bits to understand what you're trying to achieve, but you're too lazy to type them. In these cases I like to lean back, switch to /voice and just ramble for like 10 minutes, total mess, anything goes, full stream of consciousness. Sometimes I declare it up top, something like "switching to speech recognition sorry for any typos...". Sometimes I turn it into a small interview of a few turns. But I find that the LLMs are somehow very good at reconstructing long incoherent rambles and often their echo of your own tangle of thoughts comes out quite a bit cleaner than what you started with. The result is that you improve the mind meld and have to correct things less from that point on.

22 people joined my @tiny__GS workshop at #EMFCamp!
A big thank you to all the helpers from @TOG_Dublin who kept everything running smoothly and helped me work around having only one usable hand. A brilliant group and a great workshop! 🛰️🔧

⚠️WARNING
We have been tracking issues with 18 SDS GP data for several days now. The data for more than half the catalog is now over 1 day old. That significantly affects the accuracy of those objects, especially the ones in LEO.
Mean Data Age = 1.80 days (06/06/2026 1239 UTC)

Finally hit 100% on @tiny__GS SatDex! 🙂
(well, until some other satellite is added)
Still seems nuts that you can collect data packets from satellites with a homemade antenna of cheap brass rods
