MIRROR OF THE META: Incredible Reality
Tim Yip — Solo Exhibition
Asprey Studio, London
Opening 25 February 2026
MIRROR OF THE META: Incredible Reality explores parallel dimensions of reality — a space where myth, memory, and technology converge. The exhibition unfolds as a meditation on perception: how we construct reality, and how imagination reshapes what we believe to be true.
At @AspreyStudio, Tim presents the works in a more intimate and reflective scale, bringing together fibreglass sculptures from the Mythology series, photographic works inspired by travel and contemplation, and a sculptural reinterpretation of traditional Chinese dress. Drawing from both Eastern and Western traditions — from the mountain spirits of Chinese folklore to figures such as Icarus — the works reflect on ambition, illusion, civilisation, and reinvention.
Across sculpture and image, imagination becomes a vital threshold — where past and future, virtual and physical, continuously intersect. The exhibition invites viewers into a quieter, secular space of reflection, offering a moment of pause in an increasingly technological age.
