Affinity Water are showing complete disregard for HCC and its residents by abandoning roadworks on the B1368 on the afternoon of 24/4 having repaired the leak and the road remains closed with no advance warning to northbound cars, lorries and buses.

I was also very pleased to meet trustees of the Ward Freman Community Pool group, who are seeking to raise around £190,000 to restore the local pool which closed in December last year.
I am fully supportive of their bid to reopen this vital community facility.

A man was arrested in Essex yesterday in relation to organised fly-tipping across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex. We will now continue with the investigation, named Op Eagle.
