Last 6 months of @LeverhulmeTrust fellowship and I'm launching a new website. Threading time is a space to think about the connections between sewing, time and memories threadingtime.co.uk/

It arrived! The pink book! There were times when I thought this day would never come. Thanks to everyone who got me over the line - too many to mention but you'll get a big hug when I see you next. And happy to report that the pictures turned out nice too - phew. 📚
Everyday Life in Austerity the book is now online (link.springer.com/book/10.10…)! Hard copies arrive next month and there will be a little launch event. But for now please indulge me sharing this short thread about the contents - I'm a little bit excited and overwhelmed.📚

Would be grateful for any RT: joyissoyellow.files.wordpres… I am looking for volunteers to be interviewed for a study on older women’s (above 65) friendship this coming August in London and Manchester area.

I've been little quiet recently as I've been looking after my sister. Last visit she was better so I taught her to crochet. Listening to her swearing her frustration inspired me to write about why craft can be so frustrating: timehack.co.uk/crafting/craf… #crochet #scheepjes

We almost forgot, but it is her first time. My cat came with me last time but he is nowhere to be seen so I think he has given up on local democracy...
A proud day - off to vote for the first time with my daughter, and no I have not told her who to vote for. Though only just remembered that it is today which sums up the state of these local elections...

You are braver than you think and (auto) fiction can provide a way forward to depersonalise the personal in auto-ethnography
