Great three part blog series on HTTP/3 is full of details that I have not seen elsewhere. A takeaway is that HTTP/3 + QUIC is complex to implement and many HTTP servers are struggling to add support. smashingmagazine.com/2021/08…

This really is an awesome feature. I remember sitting with @sdelamo talking about the options and before the end of the chat he had a working prototype.
So much knowledge around Serverless patterns and Java optimisations built into this slick little CLI.
This might seem weird as a .NET developer, but I just had to share this video after coming across the @micronautfw CLI for working with AWS Lambda.
One of the best getting started experiences I've found.

She thinks I’m a teenager (I’m almost 32, only 3 years younger than her), and I’ll apparently be hearing from her lawyers for commentary on a presentation she has given lifetime access to.
I paid $11 for this Vision Healing Masterclass so you don’t have to 🤓 This is my saturday morning cartoons.

Talking about hiring and retaining Software Engineers:
Instead of tracking vanity metrics like # of PRs or JIRA tickets.
Try providing them with:
- Financial stability
- Psychological safety
- Collaborative environment
- Growth opportunities
Empower them to do their best work.

Debating static vs dynamic language pros/cons is always interesting to me.
Just from a API design perspective, they are so different. A dynamic language forces you create the simplest API possible so that it can be committed to muscle memory since you have less tooling support

unpopular opinion:
if you know SQL, why would you use an ORM? the extra complexity makes simple things unnecessarily simpler, while making complex things more complex.
if you *don't* know SQL, you definitely should *not* be using an ORM - you won't learn SQL by hiding from it.
