It's so hard to cut through and reach your audience now unless you say something controversial to get the algorithm frothing.
I really feel for artists like me who just want to share their work.
We just want to show you what we made, we don't want to have to start a bonfire or kick a hornet's nest just to get seen.
I don't know what the answer is. I'm just going to keep sharing my art until we're down to zero views and then I'll probably walk into the forest and live with the wolves.
We'll paint together, the wolves and I. I'll teach them to hold a brush with their tiny paws, and they'll growl disapprovingly when I add too many layers, a gentle reminder that less is more.
No-one will ever get to see the work we make and that will be OK, because we're in the forest now. It's a new world with new priorities. We'll laugh and howl about how we used to try so hard to be seen.
