I have come up with a literally crazy idea that I'm building and it will be super fun. I'll have a memecoin for it and I need some KOLs to market it. (No stealth marketing, always fully acknowledge your marketing). I would give you tokens at the start. DM me.

Why is crypto not going up while everything is? Because a large majority of you cunts spent the last cycle promoting garbage negative sum meme coins to newcomers Now those people hate crypto and your meme coin is worth zero regardless while some scamming cunt drives a new lambo

DeFi is dead and most of you still don’t understand what it actually was It was never a financial system. It was a loop designed to manufacture synthetic valuations from minimal capital Protocols didn’t grow capital, they multiplied how it was counted by turning one deposit into multiple positions A token gets emitted, you’re paid to deposit it, and that deposit is recorded as TVL. That’s position one. You borrow stables against that same collateral, deploy them somewhere else, and now that same base capital is supporting a second position on another protocol Then you take the LP token from that, restake or loop it again, and it gets counted a third time Lets simplify it with $100: > You deposit $100 into a protocol, that’s your first position and it’s recorded as $100 TVL > You borrow $80 against that same $100 and deposit it somewhere else, now there’s another $80 being counted > You borrow $60 against that $80 and deploy it again, now that’s another layer You take the receipt from that and loop it one more time On paper you now have $280+ across protocols, but in reality its still the same $100 This is the same illusion as altcoins printing billion dollar market caps on tiny float A $2B token with 5% circulating isn’t $2B of value, it’s $100M of liquidity marked higher by thin trading DeFi did the same thing with TVL. Instead of multiplying price across supply, it multiplied the same capital across protocols TVL became FDV in a different format Protocols emitted tokens to LPs, counted those tokens as TVL, then counted the incentivized volume as usage That volume generated fees, fees justified valuation, valuation justified emissions, and the loop continued No external demand was needed and the system kept feeding itself Every narrative ran the same structure. Yield farming, LSDs, restaking, points. Different names for the same mechanic You weren’t earning yield. You were being paid in dilution At the peak, $200B+ TVL implied capital that never existed. The real base was a fraction of that, looped, leveraged and counted multiple times Each protocol reported it independently, dashboards aggregated it as if it was additive That’s how the industry looked massive This is why altcoin market caps and DeFi TVL broke at the same time Both were built on internal pricing, thin liquidity, and recycled capital. One inflated valuation through float, the other through collateral loops Neither represented real economic scale The fragility came from this exact structure. The hacks weren’t random.... You don’t extract hundreds of millions from systems generating real external cash flow, you extract from systems where the value was already abstract Strip out token denominated TVL, emission based yield, recycled collateral, and wash volume. What’s left is a small set of protocols actually moving capital DeFi didn’t fail. It worked exactly as designed. It took limited capital, looped it, marked it higher, and distributed it Now that the loop is visible, the numbers don’t hold That’s why it doesn’t bounce. There’s nothing underneath it to support the scale it once claimed

vibe coding web2 consumer apps and finding meaningful ways to build blockchain under the hood might actually be better for crypto than vibe coding another prediction market app or trading agent. just sayin.

At ethcc I figured out why crypto feels dead. founders stopped building anything that needs a token. so now we build yield aggregators on top of yield aggregators on top of... tokens nobody's launching anymore. But all of that "yield" sits on top of token economies, all of it traces back to someone somewhere believing in a token. cut off new token launches and you starve the entire yield stack from below. crypto is slowly dieing unless we make people believe in tokens again.

defi is fucked lol drift just got drained for $200M+ and here's how: - attacker minted 750M fake tokens - made a raydium pool with $500 liquidity, priced at ~$1/token - compromised admin key listed the fake token on drift - disabled all withdrawal guards in one tx - deposited $785M of fake "collateral" and drained every vault in 31 txs over 12 minutes - nobody noticed for an hour - attacker came back 2hrs later to grab a few more million the multisig was 2/5 with a 0-second timelock. $200M+ protected by two signatures and zero delay. and people wonder why nobody takes this industry seriously

Once upon a time this industry gave tens of millions to unserious founders to build unserious things for unserious people. Now teams are insider trading their own single digit raises for a few thousand dollars. Even the high quality unserious people are gone.

I've become convinced that if you solve the feedback loop for AI agents, you can literally do anything. At this point you really only need a very clear, very specific, very well specified end state, and a way for the agent to evaluate if it's reached the end state or not.

Upon reflection, the failure of crypto economic systems is rooted in greed. The underpinning of all these systems is a zero sum game where balance is achieved through a stalemate of give-and-take.

pumpfun extracted close to a billion dollars from the trenches and gave absolutely nothing back. not one useful product. not one innovation just an endless slot machine that drained liquidity from every corner of the market every dollar that went into their fee machine is a dollar that didn’t flow into projects actually building something. and they know it the entire market would be significantly higher right now if pumpfun never existed. instead of capital rotating through the ecosystem it got funneled into a platform designed to extract as much as possible as fast as possible bloodsucking parasites of the crypto industry. that’s not even an exaggeration that’s just what happened

Sad to admit it, but for 98% of Web3 teams with a token, the only way out is a pivot. – Abandon the original project – Copy code – Start a new company with no token – Try better with TGE this time No dev success can outbeat the sell pressure from people who got rekt on your token and are selling each time there's a minimal green candle.

I feel like now more than ever I really understand why there's so much hatred towards NFTs and coins in the world From an outside POV it looks like a short cut, cheat code or bypassing years of grinding to reach a baseline level of monetary or social success Its easy to understand why it all feels "made up" and to completely dismiss the entire sector as being smoke and mirrors The reality is crypto still hasn't proved it serves a legitimate purpose or value beyond stronger financial rails and that's a tough pill to swallow for someone who's spent their entire career onchain Good motivation to change this in the years to come!

Crypto as we know it is over. It's time to look at the abyss and stop acting like this industry will in any way recover if the leaders continue to act like everything is fine and the 50th perps DEX will solve this. The Death of the Crypto VC sector is slowly unfolding during the past few months. LP commitments have been on a low and didn't even remotely recover during a generational $16k -> $120k bull market. VCs like Mechanism/Tangent literally pivoted away from crypto. Half of the Paradigm team ragequit in the last 2 months, entire firms silently exited everything. Barely any crypto VC has been able to raise for another fund and the venture appetite is close to zero. Please for the love of god look at the data & stop coping that this in any way is normal or will recover for a sector claiming to be on the frontier of technology. The risk appetite inside venture has been off the charts in the last 3 years, blockchain received only outflows. I spoke to so many VCs (both tradfi and crypto) in the past month, and close to nobody was optimistic about them being able to raise for another crypto-fund. We are at the tail end of blockchain innovation. "Oh ownership coins fix this" No they don't. Sorry to burst your bubble, but as the founder of a company doing "ownership" structures, this fixes exactly nothing. It's a band-aid of complacency. I'd argue it actually makes it worse, because no talented young founder will chose to give anonymous tokenholders full control of their business, it just turns crypto even more into this autistic cypherpunk delusion. Blockchain & especially alt coins has moved from the frontier of technology to an un-investable asset class who's building products who nobody needs. And the VCs who are left are trying their best to unauthentically manufacture narratives, fund the current hot thing (just to be left at 0 after the 3y vesting starts, and the current hot thing turned out to be not so societally important as the fast moving crypto sector thought it would be). The frontier of technology has moved away from blockchain and sits at AI & Robotics right now and blockchain right now is seen as the weird industry you enter to build something meaningless for exit liquidity. If we want this industry to bloom again, we need to work to get rid of the 3 in web3 and come back to reality. We need to go towards the epicenter of the current innovation and not try to artificially replicate it inside crypto. It's either valuable tokens for web2 startups or this sector & especially the venture market goes to 0. @StreetFDN
