Their footsteps were hitting the ground at the same time, left, right 💯💪and they executed the pace setting plan perfectly. The plan was run halfway at 60:15, they were 6 seconds shy (60:21). At 30k by doing 1:25:28 they were 3 seconds faster than initial plan. Congratulations

🇺🇸 Fiona O’Keeffe shares that she underwent proximal hamstring repair surgery last week at the Steadman Clinic in Vail after an MRI revealed that a partial tear sustained ahead of the Boston Marathon had progressed into a fully retracted tendon tear in her left leg.
She was previously announced as part of the elite field for the 2026 New York City Marathon. In last year’s race, she ran a personal best of 2:22:49 to break the American course record in New York.

Also worth noting that adidas athletes won five of these six titles in 2025 as well -- before the Pro Evo 3. The shoes might help, but adidas also sponsors a lot of good marathoners.

While he may not have gotten the American Marathon Record, Vincent Mauri’s gutsy run today was enough to snatch the American 30k Record in 1:28.15 en route to a 10th place overall, 3rd American finish at the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
The previous record was 1:28:24 by Conner Mantz, which was also set in Chicago (2025) en route to the full Marathon distance. 🔥
