Even though writing on US rap & hip-hop history is still just scratching the surface, I think a very interesting book could be written about hip-hop's diaspora out into the world, with detailed chapters exploring when & how rap arrived & took root in different parts of the globe.
According to Google this already exists, and my name is Matt Leake, so I guess I’m gonna have to start it. But not changing my passport.

Really disagree with this; the more I learn about modern rapper’s key influences the more I find that almost all of them have DOOM first and foremost. Everyone from Roc Marci to woods to cats who were barely born when Operation Doomsday dropped.
