The models are more efficient now. Unfortunately, the savings appear to have gotten lost on the way to the customer.
I’ll explain the new Pro 200 plan differently, before I start live tweeting from DevDay on things that are going out! Today we are going to ship a number of things that increase what you can do across the Plus and Pro plans. A lot of compute is online for this increase. As we increase the floor, we are changing the relative difference between plans to be Plus = 1X Pro 100 = 5X Pro 200 = 10X and we are reopening subscriptions for Pro 200 (we had paused it). If you have an existing plan you will keep the 20X multiplier for a bit and also receive a lot of additional credits because we know changes are hard even if it means that everyone will get more in the end.

Step 1: get unlimited free tokens. Step 2: lecture everyone else about not running 20 agents 24/7.
SpaceXAI engineer (ex-Cursor): "99% of people still use GrokBot like Google and only 1% are building teams of self-learning agents i'm running 10-20 Grok cloud agents in a loop. I have a Chief of Staff, a PM agent and 15+ worker agents" in a 20-minute workshop, a SpaceXAI engineer showed how to build cloud agents that will work for you 24/7 this replaced a $500 agentic engineering course watch today, then read the article below on how to use GrokBot at 100% of its power

Security teams do not need an AI dashboard that summarizes the breach in a soothing tone. They need fewer breaches.

Every company wants AI agents until one confidently does the wrong thing in production at 2:14 a.m. Then suddenly “human in the loop” is a breakthrough.

If your startup’s moat is “we use the newest model,” your moat is a product-release note.

Your insurance company cares about politics. Until you care about politics, they’re gonna keep using the political system to screw you over”

The AI race is no longer just software. It’s chips, power, cooling, and which company can survive the electric bill long enough to call it innovation.

I went to ASU. We already had people majoring in Snapchat with a minor in bottle service. Now they want tuition for it.

One of the underrated reasons Linear is so popular with so many people is they have an internal target that nothing in their interface should take more than 300ms to render. They keep fixing regressions whenever it happens. It’s very hard to retrofit this culture: look at JIRA…
This is why PR diff speed matters. This isn't a dunk on GitHub specifically, because GitLab, Forgejo, etc. are all equal or worse. But this is the kind of thing that drives me nuts, because this is a core workflow and its slow enough I literally take my hands off the keyboard. Btw, when my mouse jiggles on the left, its because the page is literally skipping frames and I'm instinctively shaking my mouse to see if it'll respond. And on the keyboard input you can literally here me finish typing before a letter even shows up. For someone like me who is an expert at these tools, my brain navigates the tool dramatically faster than it can keep up, and that is not good. The tool should not get in the way.

More AI-generated code doesn't make your team faster. It might actually slow you down.

how CEO's felt after doing mass firing and blaming it on AI
Big Tech poured over $1.4 trillion into AI only to see a $613 billion return on investment. * Amazon spent $313 billion and lost $291 billion * Google parent company Alphabet spent $287 billion and lost $262 billion * Microsoft spent $266 billion and lost $235 billion * Meta spent $230 billion and lost $227 billion And all these companies chosen to axe workers, blaming AI for the mass firings.
