Today, we honor the legacy of George Floyd. We pray for continued healing for his loved ones, as we work to dismantle systems built on injustice and inhumanity.

Proud to share a song we've been working on for #AAPIHeritageMonth. 2021 has run the gamut of grief and joy for this community, and throughout it all "we're still here, we're going strong and we're getting tired of proving we belong." ✊✊🏻✊🏾✊🏿✊🏼 ffm.to/webelong21

"It took me a long time to realize I was being affected by implicit bias and microaggressions. I thought graduate school was this hard for everybody," says Kaela Singleton in the article, "Advice for Navigating Academia as a Black Woman." Read now: bit.ly/2ISrMiB
Somehow we weathered and witnessed A nation that isn't broken but simply unfinished There is always light if only we're brave enough to see it if only we're brave enough to be it. — Amanda Gorman

I’ve been practicing saying, “Oops, I think your mask slipped.” I just said it for the first time “for real” to a man in Whole Foods who immediately pulled his mask up and said, “Thank you for saying that so politely.” I feel optimistic about the human race!!

Voting plans are a great way to ensure we turn up at the polls! Where are you voting? Do you need a ride to the polling place? Do you have correct forms of ID for your state? Do you need to arrange childcare? #BiNVotes #BlackinNeuro

I can't stop watching and it's like a balm. He's laughing at himself and at his own corny Dad jokes, and never at someone else's expense.

Today we remember the lives we lost on 9/11. Even the smallest act of service is a way to honor them. And just like Jay Winuk, we can honor their memories through service. 911day.org
Replying to @ObamaFoundation
Jay Winuk remembers his brother Glenn as someone who always went the extra mile to help others. On Sept. 11, 2001, Glenn first helped evacuate his co-workers from their building, then ran towards the World Trade Center where he spent the final moments of his life saving others.

This Labor Day, let’s thank all those who've kept our country going this year—nurses, teachers, delivery drivers, food service workers, and many more. We can honor them by building our system back even better—so that essential workers are treated like it, pandemic or not.

Missouri friends, be VERY careful if you plan on voting by mail!! Know that ALL mail-in ballots must be notarized and returned by mail. Note that SOME absentee ballots must also be notarized, but can be returned in person or by mail. Get it together, Missouri 🙄
Do you plan to vote with an absentee or mail-in ballot? Don’t delay. Review your options here! sos.mo.gov/CMSImages/Electio… #TrustedInfo2020 #moleg
