🚨WEEK IN FRAUD🚨 ✅$100M Most Wanted Fraudster Emylee Thai 👉CAPTURED BY @FBI/@FBIDirectorKash in Vietnam. ✅ @VP’s $245M @SBAgov/@SBAOIG/@TheJusticeDept takedown in Kansas City (which included 80 fraud defendants charged in 80 days). @USAO_WDMO. ✅12 “Ghost Daycare” operators charged and arrested for felony fraud offenses in San Diego (@SDCAnews/@HSI_HQ/@IRS_CI). ✅ 3 charged, with multiple arrests, in Los Angeles (@USAO_LosAngeles/@HUDOIG / @IRS_CI / @FBILosAngeles) for roles in schemes to steal over $10M from homeless assistance programs. ✅Data sharing agreements entered with more great fraud-fighters, including @NeTreasurer & @MissouriSOS. 🤜 ✅Chinese national sentenced to 10 years for defrauding elderly Americans (@NDOHnews). ✅The House passed a bill to make the National Fraud Enforcement Division (@DOJFraudDiv) a permanent force for the taxpayers in the @TheJusticeDept. ✅Health care fraudster sentenced to 14 YEARS behind bars and ordered to pay restitution totaling ~$55 MILLION (@DOJFraudDiv/@USAO_AZ). ✅MANY other FRAUD charges, pleas, and sentencings in just the last 5 days. A GREAT week for America in the fight against fraud. But we aren’t satisfied. We’re not patting ourselves on the back.
