The new toy I've been working on Video Wiz: Summarize and ask question with any youtube video Tech stack - @nextjs - @tailwindcss & @shadcn UI - @langchain4j - OpenAI API - @vercel for hosting & AI streaming - @upstash for memory - @supabase for db & vector store Took about 5-6 hours to get to this point. Shamelessly copied from multiple starter kits to get here - TailwindUI Salient template - Azure ChatGPT - @a16z companion app starter kit Learning so far: - Building chatgpt wrapper is not easy. It took me a few hours to get summarization work - Langchain devx leaves a lot to be desired - Need to more ruthless trimming down scope What's left: - Adding auth to keep track of chat history - Adding chat 1 day from launch, stay tuned #buildinpublic @_buildspace

In his own words
Talarico is a far-left extremist and a pathological liar. I combed through the available record. I compiled 34 clips showing Talarico's extreme views and the lies he now tells to hide them from voters. All in his own words.

I've known @jamestalarico for nearly 20 years. When we were at @UTAustin in 2009, he ran the University Democrats and I ran the College Republicans. Although we disagreed, I once considered him a friend. But then he betrayed the entire student body for his own political gain.🧵

Happy birthday America! When I was 6, my mom left Vietnam to do her post-doc in America. Two years later, she came home with pencils, erasers and toys that are so much better than what we have at home. I finally became the cool kid at school My dream of going to America started that day I finally landed in LAX when I turned sixteen. Since then, America has given opportunities to achieve everything my 6yo self could have only dreamed of - Got my master in 2011 - Bought my first home in 2013 - Fell in love with entrepreneurship, started my first company in 2019, got into YC, exited - Become a US citizen in 2021 America gave me the love of working hard, to be a maker and finally the optimism that the best is yet to come. America, thank you for everything and I can’t wait to celebrate your 300th birthday

I was early beta user of Positional and it’s become my go to tool for all things SEO Highly recommend checking them out
We made it! Today is @GoPositional's public launch day! Go sign-up! 📈 But in all seriousness, getting here has been a long road. We did a very hard pivot into Positional 13 months ago. We had spent two years building something that people didn’t want, and we decided to return to our roots… content, SEO, and inbound marketing. Since at least 2019, Matt and I have wanted to build our own toolset. We were tired of using seven separate tools to do our jobs. We wanted to connect the workflow from end to end, from keyword research to analytics, and the actions that users take that ultimately drive revenue for a business. With Positional, you can start, grow, and scale your inbound marketing and SEO strategy with a toolset optimized for results — not vanity metrics. Today, Positional has 11 core features. Of course, we have tools for keyword research and tracking. But we also have a number of really unique experiences and workflows for internal linking, content optimization, content analytics, and mapping buyer journeys. We have a lot of work left to do, but I’m proud of what we’ve shipped today. There are lots of thank yous. Thank you to my wife, Emma, who has been so supportive. I call Emma my mini-management-consultant (MMC). Emma has been here for a few startups. Being a startup-founder-significant-other is really hard. Lately, Matt and I have been working some insane hours. Thank you to Matt for being the best co-founder a guy could have. Thank you to my dog, Jasper, who, despite going on much shorter walks lately, has still been incredibly supportive. Our team, you guys rock. Post-pivot, things were a little crazy. But we stuck together. Our private beta customers, thank you for trying us and for signing up early. Many of you signed up way too early, but we’ve really appreciated your feedback, suggestions, bug catches, and patience as we’ve built Positional. We’ve got some wonderful investors, too. Shout out to @snowmaker, @bradflora, @ycombinator, @lachygroom, @briannekimmel, @pioneer_fund, @grinich, and so many others for giving us the opportunity to build Positional. Again, we’ve got a lot of work left to do. There are bugs still to catch and new products to ship, but we had to launch. If you sign up today, I’d love to hear your feedback. Plus, if you become a customer this week, you’ll get an awesome 3-pack of SEO-inspired hot sauces (“Link Juice”). Over the long term, we are working to build the toolset for inbound marketing and GTM. Onward! Get Started with Positional: positional.com/

My friends ask for a bot that can help husbands ask their wife for spending money ... in Vietnamese. What can I do but oblige It's hosted on Founder.Chat which lets you build & publish GPT-like bot that anyone can use, not only those with ChatGPT plus subscription

I spent thousands of $$$ on courses for creators Most of them are disappointing But Justin Welsh’s latest Creator OS is head and shoulders above others For example: every course and business book will tell you how to craft a unique value proposition But they stop at telling you to find what unique about your offer. 🙄 Justin show how to identify - value statement - customer pain points - customer aspirations But my favorite is identifying a movement and an enemy of your customer You want to make your customer a hero. You are their partner joined in a common struggle against a common enemy. You are learning from the master himself. He is all about Solopreneurship movement before it was cool And he has helped countless broke free from the 9-5 But seeing how he identify a movement and enemy for a different product and industry is eye opening The course is 29 hours worth of video. It even has a bonus mini course that is a speed run through the entire material. Even the speed run is 3 hours long. INSaNE!! He’s running a limited half off offer on the course first launch week that ends tonight learn.justinwelsh.me/a/21477…

There must be a market for making auto dm less obnoxious Empty platitudes repeating what found on receivers’ bio I thought this is solved with recent advances in LLM. Apparently not

If you build GPT with static knowledge file It's outdated the moment you hit publish A better way is to create an API that the GPT can call to get latest knowledge. For example: I just published a @thejustinwelsh GPT with all content updated in real time using Founder.Chat API You can now ask Justin for banger advices how to build your personal brand. Without having to read his 70 articles and 200+ plus newsletter Check it out at chat.openai.com/g/g-WAkPPr56…
