Fantastic to take a break from party conference and head to @thereaderorg Great conversation about the power of shared reading and how it helps us to be human. The need for radical change and story telling in the criminal justice system, how to support young care leavers & more👇🏻

At my weekly Shared Reading group @thereaderorg today I volunteered to read this selected poem ('Goodbye', Alun Lewis).
I had to stop at one point near the end, so moved by the emotion conveyed by the text.
One small moment in the power of poetry.
