here's the scoop on @intentessential ; it has two components, declarative execution environment (essentialvm) & constraint driven language (pint)
pint contracts are composed of a storage block & a series of predicates; storage represents persistent state as we're used to in smart contracts, but predicates are composed of a series of constraints over which storage may mutate
obligatory counter:
storage is declared with a single counter value; a 64 bit signed integer (essentialvm default)
'Increment' predicate first declares which state variables (storage::counter) to access. any state identifier followed by the single quote (counter' vs counter) indicates the state variable after the current transaction. that is to say, the current state may be constrained and the next state may be constrained, this is how the state is mutated, not by directly writing the value to a storage slot
constraints declare the conditions for a valid state transition, if one evaluates to false, the transaction reverts. the above constraint declares either the counter must go from nil (undefined) to 1 OR the counter must go from its current value to its current value + 1

essentialvm is a 64 bit stack machine, though instructions are not hiding imperative opcodes, at the vm level there is only a state transition and constraints over their properties
predicates of a contract may also access other contracts' predicates and storage layouts, that is to say composition of constraints over external state is also possible
this is a fresh take on what an execution layer can be, how we can solve and process state transitions within the constraints of smart contracts, and it wildly opens the design space for complex applications
looking forward to learning more
It's been awesome to see @tychedelia dive in and work her magic on nannou! I'm excited for this new (hopefully more sustainable) approach at re-orienting nannou as a suite of creating coding @BevyEngine plugins 🎨🔌🕊️
After a long hiatus, we published #nannou 0.19 last week! This version updates to latest wgpu and winit and aims to be a final stable release before we start our large refactor toward harnessing bevy 🐦️
Wicked set tonight @keinobjekt! What a treat... The only track I recognised was the Priori choon (and maybe a De.CALC choon during the drumfunk bizz?) - crazy amount of fresh gems, both cruisers and stonkers 💜 ty

An all time fav, highly recommend the whole set of genius party shorts!
Genius Party Beyond "Dimension Bomb" (2008) animated short film by Koji Morimoto (Animatrix) & Studio 4°C is online on Youtube for 2 weeks.

Looks like the @rustlang Youtube channel just posted mine and @themindtree's talk from last year's RustFest. Might be interesting to those who didn't make it to see how we use @nannou_cc to create all our art installations. #nannou #mindbuffer

Tune in to twitch.tv/lacasadelesbombete…!
We're in the heart of Catalonia geeking out about generative graphics and music with @sntvlnv, @PlaymodesStudio. Talks and tunes start in 1 hr.
Mola molt!!

Just finished presenting MORPH at SIGGRAPH with @augmentlstudio and @themindtree. We'll be releasing the filmed session hopefully soon. Thanks to @siggraph for having us along to this year's conference!
A dream project for the three of us, and the perfect opportunity to combine everything we've been learning and experimenting with over the past decade.
Looking forward to the @siggraph chats!
**SOUND ON** Excited to finally be able to share the official film clip for MORPH TE, a kinetic artwork made by @augmentlstudio and MindBuffer. We're presenting the "making of" at SIGGRAPH next week which will be filmed and available to the public soon.
A huuuge thanks to the @rustembedded working group and wider community, without whose advice and existing work we would likely have a far less ideal component selection and almost certainly no custom Ethernet network through the whole robot with TCP bootloader :)
