In 2023, we spent $3,934,099 on AWS + other hosting. In 2026, our hosting + support bill is down to ~$1m/year due to the cloud exit. Even including all the hardware buying, we will already have saved ~$4m by the end of this year. And going forward, it's ~$3m/yr in savings 🤑

If you bought an Intel Mac Mini in 2023, it'll stop receiving updates from Apple next year. Not even Android has that short of a support window any more! But I bet you can still install Linux on it to extend its life. uk.pcmag.com/macos/158506/ap…

Apple Confirms End of Support for Intel Macs After macOS Tahoe

Apple's upcoming macOS Tahoe is only supported on four Intel Macs. Starting next year, macOS updates will only come to Apple Silicon Macs.

Linux is user-friendly. It's just very picky about who its friends are

Microsoft's latest update for Windows 11 (with Copilot+) includes a feature called "Recall" that you might want to disable. The Recall records everything you do. This means it stores information like your passwords, browsing history, images, videos, messages, and emails. To disable it, type the following command as admin user: Dism /Online /Disable-Feature /Featurename:Recall
