On Saturday afternoon, Fall River hockey players Max Brien with the @oceanicrimouski and Jayden Tillman of the @OlympiquesGAT faced off against each other for the first time in their QMJHL careers.
Both are in their rookie campaign after being drafted in June’s draft by the respective teams.
While it was Max‘s team that came away with the win in a shootout, Tillman had an assist in the game and both of them had penalties after a scuffle with each other.
We plan to have a story early this week, talking with both players about the game.
What a great moment for these two up-and-coming players.
Both of them will be coming to Halifax for games against the @HFXMooseheads in the coming months.

Jamie Calla, a 10th round pick in this years Q draft is still with the team after another round of cuts yesterday.
3 goals 2 assists in 4 preseason games for Calla. He scored in 2 intrasquad games as well.
Impressive stuff.

I’ve been watching some of Nova Scotia’s U15 boys camp this morning and Nole Romard (#92 Green) has been outstanding on nearly every shift.
Here he attacks the middle of the ice, draws pressure then slips it back door for an easy tap in.
Definitely one to watch for the 2028 QMJHL Draft.
*Shoutout to @thehighbutton for the video. Their coverage of all the HPP Camps has been excellent.

I said it the day he signed with the Marlies that he’ll play NHL games within 3 years… I should have shortened that timeline bc he’ll play next year.
