Two states, two veering on hemp in light of the looming federal ban: NJ passed a bill extending sales an extra four weeks to December. The IL Department of Revenue says that all hemp-derived products containing >0.4mg of THC will be classified as "cannabis" under state law and can only be sold through regulated cannabis channels. Enforcement kicks in on November 12. The federal ban lands in December, unless Congress steps in.
