Every 3 years someone tweets "Native is dead," and every 3 years Native watches those abstractions burn.
@SamProgramiz was on stage making the unapologetic case for pure native engineering. This one was spicy! 🍿🔥

All people of goodwill and supporters of democracy across the world are relieved to see the trumped up treason charges against Comrade Tundu Lissu collapse, following his acquittal today.
These charges should never have been brought in the first place. Lissu’s only crime was to call for basic reforms to the electoral architecture in Tanzania to guarantee a fair process. He has lost over two years of his life in custody as he fought off the charges.
We encourage Ndugu Lissu, the CHADEMA Party and all our Tanzanian brothers to take heart and remain strong in their pursuit of justice and freedom, in the knowledge that all forces of regression are usually ultimately defeated.

I condemn the violent attack against Hon. @skmusyoka SC, @EugeneLWamalwa and @Justinmuturi and their teams in Migori yesterday. Nobody should have to brave stones to address fellow Kenyans and exercise their democratic and political rights. Nobody should have their constitutionally guaranteed security undermined on account of holding divergent political views.
We have spoken against political violence for far too long. The same outrage, the same calls for investigations, and yet we see more attacks with little action to end this trend.
Shattered windows can be replaced, but a A life lost cannot. We cannot wait for more people to be killed before taking this seriously.
The police must identify the attackers, investigate who organised or financed them, and bring those responsible before a court. Police conduct during the incident must also be independently investigated.
Another promise of investigations is not accountability. Protecting peaceful political participation is the state's duty. Kenyans do not need another condemnation to file away, they need consequences for those responsible.
