I recently left GitHub and am looking for my next job as a software engineer. I learnt a lot as a TPM and PM at GitHub, but one of the biggest lessons I learnt is that engineering is where my passion lies.

I'm very experienced with Clojure, but happy to work with other languages too. I live in NZ, but work on PST hours. You can see my work on lots of OSS projects, and at @cljtogether. DMs are open, RTs appreciated, thanks! github.com/danielcompton linkedin.com/in/danielcompto…

My team and I got laid off today due to the pandemic. Talk to @angusiguess, @cocanning, github.com/ianbishop or myself if you’re looking for senior engineers (Clojure or otherwise).

I learn new things every time I chat with Marc. 🙇‍♀️✨ Plus, he has the best stories! If I was The Little Codebase that Could, I would absolutely 💯 want Marc as the guide for my hero’s journey.
This week I talked with @atmarc from @CircleCI about building support for Windows, where Go, JS, and Clojure fit, and fighting cryptominers. therepl.net/episodes/29/

NB: malli by @Metosin is developed in the open, but it's not released yet! It's still in the design and prototyping phase, far away for being usable for anything real.

@bostonou (on @the_repl podcast) put words to a thing I’ve been having a hard time articulating. He basically said that clean code is an insurance premium you pay in order to have code that is maintainable in the future. – at Oslo

For the second time in a row a library I wrote was featured in the category "People are worried about types" on @the_repl I wonder if I should worry more or less about types in 2019 :-) Happy new year!

It was a real pleasure talking to @danielwithmusic on The REPL. He's got some pretty interesting stories himself. If you get the opportunity to sit down and chat with him I'd recommend it. 10/10 would be interviewed by again 👌💯👍
I talked with @HendersGame about Clojure, engineering, and remote work on therepl.net/episodes/9/
