I’m so thankful to the citizens of the 59th district for putting their faith in me. Whether you voted for me or not, it’s my job to do the best I can for you, your family, and our community.
Time to get to work!

Where’s the uproar from the press?

JOIN THE FIGHT.
@VP Vance is calling on ALL public officeholders — members of Congress, local and statewide officials — to seek out, prosecute, eliminate, fraud at every level.
It's essential that Americans trust their government to protect their taxpayer dollars.
Fraud is NOT just “the cost of doing business.”
Every dollar lost to fraud is a dollar stolen from our fellow citizens in need.
I’m proud to stand with VP Vance his efforts to fight fraud across the federal government today to ensure American tax dollars go to Americans.
Do you hate fraud?
If so, I’m calling on you to join me in taking the pledge to protect Americans from fraudsters, by doing everything in your power to ensure that:
1. Vulnerable Americans, such as the elderly, indigent, and disabled, are protected from fraudsters who seek to prey on them.
2. Taxpayer-funded programs serve law-abiding Americans, not illegal aliens or fraudsters.
3. Taxpayer-funded benefits are not used by fraudsters to buy mansions or luxury cars.
4. Public agencies and officials work tirelessly and aggressively, coordinating at all levels of government, to stop fraud before payments go out the door.
5. Fraudsters face justice for their crimes in a court of law. Convicted fraudsters will be imprisoned and barred from ever receiving another penny of taxpayer dollars.
6. Illegal alien fraudsters are promptly arrested, prosecuted, imprisoned, and deported, never able to take advantage of Americans’ generosity again.
Appreciate Auditor Faber’s work to bring justice to these fraudsters that destroyed a local institution.
Ohio taxpayers deserve accountability and confidence that their dollars are being spent appropriately.

Proud to announce a statewide effort to land the United States Space Academy in Dayton, Ohio.
This is where aviation began. Where two bicycle mechanics left the ground at Huffman Prairie and changed the world. Where Ohioans like Neil Armstrong and John Glenn taught America to look up. Where more than two dozen astronauts have called home. Where America’s first astronauts — the Mercury Seven — were put through their final testing in 1959. To this day, America’s astronauts come to @WrightPattAFB for training at the 711th Human Performance Wing, home of the School of Aerospace Medicine and the military’s only human-rated centrifuge.
Today, Ohio unites to make our case to bring President Trump’s vision for the Space Academy to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and @wrightstate — the only site with the people, the mission, and the history to secure his legacy.
Thank you to @matthuffman1, @Rob_McColley, @SenJonHusted, @Jim_Jordan, @RepMikeTurner, and @GovMikeDeWine for uniting to make this happen. No politics. Just Ohio. Just America.
From Huffman Prairie to the stars.

NEW: Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH) & Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) will introduce the "Red Light Act" in the Senate today, a bill that would withhold federal DOT funds to any states that give illegal aliens driver's licenses and redistribute those funds to states that do not grant licenses to illegal aliens.
Per Sen. Husted's office, the bill would apply to funding from the National Highway Performance Program, Highway Safety Improvement Program and Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program.
Statement to @FoxNews via Sen. Husted:
“Ohio does not issue these licenses—and other states should follow our lead. Congress has a responsibility to protect its citizens: these twenty governments are putting American lives at risk by issuing ‘drive-only’ licenses and should not be rewarded with federal taxpayer dollars. The Red Light Act would hold these states accountable and save Americans’ lives on the road."
Statement to FOX via Sen. Moreno:
“How many more Ohio families have to bury their loved ones who were murdered by illegal immigrants who never should have been behind the wheel, before Democrats finally admit enough is enough? This epidemic has gone on too long. We refuse to let another ‘drive-only’ license be handed out to people who have no business being in our communities in the first place. Not one more."

Ohio needs to close the door on this abuse. HB993 is a good first step.
A surrogate, believing she was carrying a child for a single father, is actually having a baby for a Chinese billionaire who allegedly has more than 100 kids. CBS News broke the news to her.
Leaked documents obtained by CBS News named the intended father as Xu Bo, a Chinese billionaire and video game executive. Xu Bo has been reported to have over 100 children through U.S. surrogates, granting them American citizenship at birth. A former partner involved in a custody lawsuit against Xu Bo claims he has as many as 300 children. He has disputed these numbers, and has said in a statement that he has custody of 12 children born through surrogacy in the U.S.
CBS News' @KatrinaSari interviewed the surrogate – who we are referring to as "Judy" to keep her identity private – who said she was blindsided to learn about Xu Bo. CBS News spoke to 32 surrogates for an investigation into the industry. Head to the linked article for more on this investigation.

Dario has written that we need to “pace the frontier,” and Sam has agreed. People may be surprised by my response: go ahead.
You guys are the frontier. By any reasonable metric — market share, revenue growth, model capability — the two of you have a duopoly on frontier intelligence. You’ve also claimed the lead is widening because of recursive self-improvement.
I don’t see what you see in the lab. If the unreleased models are scary enough that you think you should slow down, I support your decision to be responsible.
But stop pretending you need anyone else’s permission. Stop pretending antitrust law has to be suspended so you can form a cartel. Stop pretending you need a regulatory approval process that supersedes product liability. Stop pretending METR is independent when it is intertwined with Anthropic’s investors and staff. Stop pretending you need those same evaluators to police competitors who aren’t even at the frontier.
Most of all, stop pretending the motivation to slow down is purely altruistic. You face massive product-liability exposure if your products enable a truly damaging cyberattack. The market already punishes models that behave in unpredictable or unauthorized ways. After the Hugging Face episode, it is simply good business for OpenAI and Anthropic to trade some raw power for reliability and predictability. Call it alignment if you want. It is also just giving customers what they want.
Pacing the frontier would also create breathing room for a more intelligent conversation about regulation than Bernie Sanders’ “shut it all down.” China is very unlikely to join a global agreement, as you know, and that has to be taken into account as well.
So go ahead and pace the frontier. You are the ones setting it. The easiest way not to build superintelligence is for you to agree not to build it. Demanding your preferred regulatory framework as the price of that will look like blackmail of the public and the political system. So just do it.
If you do, you’ll buy goodwill for the next conversation. If you don’t, we’ll know this was just another bid for regulatory capture — or an election-season psyop.

If Dario wants to slow down the pace of AI, he should just move the company to Europe.

LMAO this happens all the time. There's even a name for it. "Regulatory capture"
Wild to see takes like this
I've served in two White Houses and in Congressional leadership, and I can tell you when the last time a CEO or an industry at large asked to be regulated: never. That's what makes Dario's letter so striking — it's an admission that we're driving down a dark, winding road on wet pavement with the headlights off. And where's President Trump? Looks like he nodded off again. It’s time to turn the lights on, put both hands on the wheel, and regain control before it’s too late.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Industries and CEOs have often asked to be regulated. Examples include 19th century railroads, Allstate in 2009, hedge funds and tech companies. washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/305871… fee.org/articles/we-wa… nationalreview.com/corner/be-wary…

One year without Charlie. I still reach for words that don’t exist.
For the early years of Turning Point USA, I worked beside him when almost no one knew his name.
That proximity still feels like a privilege I did not fully understand until he was gone.
I remain convinced that the only tribute worthy of him is to do the unglamorous thing he did at the beginning: show up, speak plainly, and refuse to let the country forget how to talk to itself.
