Updated statement on my use of X: I am appalled by the recent reports of Grok being used to generate illegal sexualised and abusive material on X. I’ve spent much of my career working to protect girls and women from all forms of abuse and exploitation, and I will not stop now.

Thank you for reading and engaging with my posts here, particularly those in the ME community who, I know, follow the work my colleagues and I do in Parliament. Please come with me to the other media platforms, and continue to receive my updates and hear my news. Thank you.

I’ve been proud to stand with Somerset farmers to protest against the family farm tax. Today’s announcement that the threshold will be raised from £1m to £2.5m is welcome progress. But the tax must still be scrapped. With LibDem colleagues I’ll continue to fight for this.

The decades long neglect of #pwME is a great injustice and we are all poorer for it. I’m proud to be one of the 72 LibDem MPs who have fought to address this. And I know that I’m not alone in committing to continuing the fight to see real change in 2026
December 22nd. Thank you for being #ThereForME, Sir Ed Davey & the Lib Dems @LibDems! This year the LibDems have been key players championing the need for improved support for people with ME in parliament. Nominated by Jonah Weisz @WeiszGuy1✨

Some facts… the 72 LibDems are 11% of MPs but… 👉🏾 Have asked 43% PQs on ME 👉🏾 Constitute 23% of MPs in the APPG ME 👉🏾 ALL signed a letter to Wes Streeting 👉🏾 Secured the only debate on ME in this Parliament. We were consistently there for #pwME.

My reflections after today’s APPG ME meeting…. ‘As we look to 2026, it’s clear that there’s plenty that needs MPs’ engagement. Across the ME community there’s so much shared lived experience and analysis to inform the work that we do. So, let’s get on with it!’ #pwME

Pleased to support my colleague Al Pinkerton's UK-EU Customs Union Bill. A new customs union would provide genuine opportunity for growth, through a bespoke trade deal with the EU - hugely benefiting trade in the South West - my colleagues & I will continue to campaign for this.

Next Wednesday’s APPG ME meeting will focus on what members could do to promote two key issues: 1. Provision of specialist services for v severe ME 2. Better research funding. Hoping that MPs will respond to constituents’ concerns and turn out as they did for the debate on ME.

👇🏽 Exciting news! But I know that whilst important, it’s an early step. Interested to understand what needs to happen next and how U.K. government could help… so that eventually we have treatments and diagnostics for the too many #pwME. Webinar tomorrow: tinyurl.com/58j9vx8p
Our genetic analysis of ME is now live. The new study identifies 250+ core ME genes, shared biology with long COVID, and dozens of drug repurposing opportunities for precision trials. Huge thanks to our partners and the @DecodeMEstudy participants. #pwME #longCOVID #MECFS

Thursday’s National Emergency Briefing on the Climate and Nature Crisis had a clear message: act now. Decision-makers must step up and tackle the climate crisis before it’s too late. I shall be one of those asking for more. #climatecrisis #neb2025 #netzero

A week ago the Westminster Hall debate on ME was held. Thank you to all those who have watched the debate and sent messages of encouragement. I’ve now written to the minister, Ashley Dalton, about the meeting she promised. And I have sent her the questions in my speech. 👇🏽
