Television 1.5 gives each artifact its own little data store, that agents can post and subscribe to. This means all your artifacts are natively interactive — and TV feels a little less like a window manager, and a little more like a computer.

There are moments when innovations quietly happen that change entire industries. @telepathinc's launch of Television solved a problem I've had for two years. For the cost of a few tokens I have a fully customizable local development telemetry artifact at my fingertips. Magic, @stlhood.

Artifacts in a generative UI should feel native, like they're all part of the same system. For our latest alpha release for Television, all your artifacts are now based on the same comprehensive design system (which also means you can theme the entire UI)

Unfortunately, no one can be told what the new computer is. You have to see it for yourself.
talking to a group of offline people about AI recently it’s cliche and perhaps gauche to say “nobody knows what’s coming”. but that’s an understatement. nobody knows what’s already here the avg person sees AI the same as it was 3 years ago - a moderately helpful chatbot. if you use gpt for recipes and search, your experience has not meaningfully changed since 2023 today the frontier is autonomous coding and agentic task completion. aka, the computer using the computer. this is impossible to explain to most people because they have no idea what code is or how computers work
