In the newest HDR Nightly, we've added the long sought ability to edit and rename your player tags from the CSS!
We hope that everyone enjoys this update, both tournament goers and casual players alike.

Dude that's awesome! I wanna get back into it after I move up to Boston, so this is encouraging - it's easy to forget how supportive the climbing community is. To me, that "but" doesn't matter - you're the one who did the route! Own it!

You might want to use this python script to connect to your switch and see what the output of the plugin is. I have an issue written up to log errors and stuff to a file but haven't done it yet. Good luck

Also, remember to actually have some fun while you're at it! I for one think the use cases for labbing and TAS are actually very cool, so I look forward to seeing some interesting uses/tools come out of this.
And of course for anyone concerned still about mitigation efforts for TOs, feel free to refer to the below guide:

And so here we are: a new repository with a new release, but this time with some better limitations. It's a shame that it couldn't remain open source, because that's something I personally value, but in this case it's probably the better call.

Honestly, there's a lot of reasons why I didn't think its that big of a deal - it's not statistically relevant anyway, its not hard to recognize abuse, reporting is easy, etc. But, the concerns are still valid and I see no real reason to leave it as-is anyway, so down it goes!
Now as for the original release, it should be pretty easy to tell frankly when someone is abusing it. My advice? Report after the match - they can probably get banned after human inspection.
Since this is now closed source, I will be maintaining an API for other creators to interact with this plugin in other tools (a crate for deserialization, controlling playback state, macro recording, etc). This will be in the same repository as the plugin releases.
Hey guys, got an update for you: I've taken down the open source repo of the input macros plugin and its existing releases. Instead, I have released a version which does not work online, and is also not open source. Links at the bottom.

Another neat idea was to use this as part of a bot like that one melee bot, but for ultimate. That might be a bit of a stretch though - maybe one day.
In the mean time I'll probably be fixing some more behaviors and fleshing out the examples in the near future.
There are a few other really interesting uses for this, like labbing very specific inputs in a per-frame, exact-stick-position way. That would have been a lifesaver back in the days of early ult labbing...
You know, one of the coolest uses of this new tool is probably being able to TAS easily in ultimate, like that one brawl video everyone's seen before.
I don't think that's been possible/practical until now.

Nah the example file was slightly wrong, I updated it
Another minor fix, the ewgf.json example did not actually perform an EWGF. This has been fixed, and attached to the release.
Update: I was planning on just creating some more examples for the input macros plugin, but then I ended up just implementing a bunch of new features instead.
Please test lol

The actual file has to be called macros.json, on the sdcard root
