Warm-up problem 1: What's the shortest program you can write in Python to calculate factorials without using "import math"? The best I could do was 7 lines. a,b=(int(input()),)*2 def f(a,b): while a>1: b=b*(a-1) a=a-1 return(a,b) print(f(a,b)[1])

It's crucial we make the point that, in a globalised world, even if there was ZERO IMMIGRATION wages would NOT be driven up, because jobs would relocate to cheaper countries. For higher wages we'd have to introduce capital controls... & that'd put the cat amongst the pigeons!

Fact of the day! Offices of the 1880s utilised paper forms with spaces in which to write or select data. These spaces came to be known as ‘fields’ which are now used to describe the spaces within modern-day spreadsheets and databases.
