I’ve been asked to be the next CEO of Sonos. Grateful for the perspectives and critiques that many of you have shared here these last 6 months while I was interim. So excited for the road ahead.
Very excited to step into the interim CEO job at Sonos. Shared a note with the team this morning about why I'm here and the path forward...

Macintosh launch brochure too good to not post in its entirety. I read every word of this 100,000 times as a boy.
40 years ago, when I was 14 years old, Apple introduced the Macintosh and the course of my life was set.
From the moment I saw the 1984 ad I knew that was the case & so for 40 years I’ve held on to some keepsakes — including this full page ad from Jan 25th, the day after launch
Incredibly exited to see @Joshmedia launch this (officially!) into the world. Watching him channel his talent and enthusiasm into this new challenge over the last year+ has been endlessly inspiring.

In our conversation, we discuss:
🔸 Lessons learned from the infamous collapse of Pets.com and Quibi
🔸 Lessons learned from the success of Snap, Apple, and Pandora
🔸 Advice on picking where to work
🔸 Understanding the math formula of a business
🔸 How to avoid burnout
🔸 Why not everyone needs to be a founder
