The timing of this report after yesterday's #KingsSpeech showed this government has no intention of reforming mental health care is heartbreaking.
Autistic and learning disabled people are being effectively imprisoned because others with power don't understand their neurotype.
Today @DHSCgovuk published @BaronessHollins excellent report into the use of solitary confinement for autistic people and people with learning disabilities.
The government also published its desultory and insulting response.

Before our event, only 40% of the girls believed they had a moderate understanding of STEM careers. By the end of the day, 94% of the girls felt they had a much better grasp!
Thanks to our incredible partner AIG, & support from @ProctorGamble and #Avantor.

Gill, babes, last year four of the classes in my dept only had a qualified teacher for three months. A teacher left last week and we can’t replace them. My A Level physics students have no teacher.
Us striking is not the problem. 8 days is not the problem.

We are witnessing loss of civilian life at a scale we have not seen in the modern history of Israel and Palestine.
Leaders should rise to the moment and act to prevent further mass atrocities before it’s far too late.
