Sad news filtering through this morning. Alf was a Bourneriver Morris man, but with regular visits to Bampton, he became well liked. Even done a stint with us as Sword/cake bearer.

1 week to go until the small town of Bampton becomes Morris Royalty, with their annual day of dance. Dancing throughout the day, then from 6pm all 3 Bampton sides have guest sides to round the evening off with dance and music.

Our day of dance is this Saturday in and around Bampton from 9am. Lots of other things going on too. Come along and say hi
Been a glorious warm spring day in Bampton. No advertising and covid secure as we possibly could be, the afternoon was great.
In case you're wondering, we will be dancing this Monday, starting after lunch and carrying on through the afternoon, but no visitors to the town this year, please. Not posting a programme, but Bampton residents can find us easily.
Here are TBMD, we are very sad to learn of Geoff’s passing. He was a great supporter of our side and an honorary member of TBMD for his service as our Whit Monday collector from time to time, as shown in the lovely photo by Dorset Morri'arty. We will miss him.
It's been a difficult Whitsun 2020 and going to be a difficult year. Let's look to the future and look forward to an amazing Whitsun 2021.
Our usual stop at 11:30 am is in front of Bampton Church, where #downtonAbbey was filmed.
This year has been very different, but we did manage to perform a Jig sticking to social distancing guidelines, outside the church to keep the long tradition alive.
