A wonderful week in a stunningly sunny Gothenburg for the Biomarkers in Neurodegenerative Diseases Course - thank you @_michael_scholl @tautangles @aitanasogorb for organising, all other speakers for such informative talks and the students for the engaging discussions!
This week we hosted the 6th Biomarkers in Neurodegenerative Diseases PhD course in Gothenburg, Sweden with @_michael_scholl @aitanasogorb and @M_SuarezCalvet. 🙏🏻👌🏻speakers 🙏🏻sponsors @OlinkProteomics @Gates Ventures #neuroscience #neurology biomarker-course.org
An enjoyable collaboration between @UCLIoN @ucl with the Bateman lab @WUSTL to develop a mass spectrometry assay to measure NfL across a range of neurological diseases. Sets us up nicely to track the synthesis and clearance of NfL in vivo. @braincomms

Great news to start off the year: We will arrange our joint UGOT/UCL course “Biomarkers for Neurodegenerative Diseases” again on May 24-28, 2021 as a hybrid in-person/virtual event depending on the COVID-situation. The lineup is fantastic, and the course will be free of charge.

Thanks so much to the @alzassociation for funding this work. We are honoured, and can't wait to get started.
A $7 million grant from @alzassociation will allow researchers led by Prof @jmschott @UCLIoN to assess the health records of the world's longest running birth cohort, advancing our understanding of risk factors for dementia across the life course @MRCLHA ucl.ac.uk/news/2019/nov/worl…
