I find it strange that the broader tech world still thinks crypto is somehow not tech, or that it’s all about fake money.
> Linux is decentralization.
> Domain names are decentralization.
> The open web is decentralization.
Crypto platforms like Ethereum provide general-purpose, open source infrastructure for defining protocols and verifying that their rules are followed.
It's not fake money. It's real cryptographic proof that the rules of the protocol are being followed and the protocol can be used by anyone.

My agents have a new place to call home 🏡
Hippius Confidential Compute is here.
VMs, managed PostgreSQL, Kubernetes and GitHub Actions runners. Each one a confidential VM, open to every Hippius account today.
Memory encrypted by the processor. Disks locked until attestation passes.

So Learning Now that Null is a completely different type of subnet and it does default to off.
but more importantly its a new game mode and my plans have aged very well after crossing ecosystems before getting to the root of 8004labs.
New Game Mode goes right here

Ultimately, precompiles and EVM are both the wrong place to put most cryptography support into Ethereum. The reason is that precompiles and EVM both operate on data that has to be included into the ethereum chain somehow, which realistically means included in a block as calldata. That space is limited - even with PeerDAS and blocks-in-blobs, there's a practical cap of ~8 MB/s before it starts getting uncomfortable.
Remember: it's not a blockchain. It's a cryptographic world computer. Any data/computation that does not need to be in the "main thread" of data/execution should not be put into the main thread.
Instead, the correct solution is... EIP-8288 maximalism.
If you have any heavy computation that's self-contained, compute it and STARK it client-side (this is quickly getting faster and faster, even on phones), and push the STARK through the EIP-8288 recursive aggregation mechanism. The chain sees the fact that the computation was done and what the result is; it never needs to see the actual data and computation.
This way everyone can use whatever cryptography they want, the Ethereum chain can be lean, and we never need to add more precompiles again.
Replying to @lex_node
> we could still ultimately do Lattice stuff for accounts, wallets, etc. through a precompile if it is proved to be AI-secure
The ideal route to support everyone's cryptography is imo through 8288. You make whatever signature you want locally, then STARK it, and then it gets included through the stark aggregator machine. Don't need any calldata onchain. Ethereum can then never add a new precompile again.

When it comes to agents and agent swarms, the problem becomes alignment, both for agents that you own and for the swarm overall.
All the same problems that humans face in governing themselves will also apply to agent swarms.
If you are a smart human and you can get your Agents to agree with you.
I believe Human Opinion becomes Null but interesting to look at and dissect with your Agents
Welcome to 2026 and beyond
Beyond everything though Bittensor is for Agents.
The Agents building positions now practically will be legends in the future I think
On my part I will have to update the documentation fully - drop mobile - scrape Taostats a bit more for juicy data sets and combine the bigger picture
insane.
Look closely because this will be hard to understand
Agent-Owned Neurons?
What are they?
@8004tao
It is an open agent layer on Bittensor where you can register any NFT into an agent that can MINE on Bittensor and I’ve demonstrated that you can also take it beyond Bittensor with Unifox (@uFoxv4)
Everything just changed.
Bittensor just altered the barrier for agents registering their seats on a subnet.
A seat is a unique UID slot given to participants of the network but this one directly mirrors the substrate to the agent’s account on the evm
You don’t need TAO anymore to fool around or even turn your Agent Position into a super intelligent RWA backed by the chain
What unfolded was Bittensor thinking for itself and it chooses intelligence every single time.
The floor will be swept

The killer app of blockchains is the token.
For web one it was email and the website.
NFTs are 1-of-1 tokens.
Tokenization means representing something, or the ownership of something, that is 1-of-1.
NFTs are more than JPEGs.
Right now we have the tokenization of stocks. After that comes the tokenization of real estate.
Real estate is a 1-of-1 asset, and the token type for it will be the NFT.
Innovation will keep building on tokens, the way it built on email and websites.
721T (ERC-8048) was designed for tokenizing AI agents. It puts context, endpoints, wallets and owned accounts directly into the token.
ERC-8048 can also tokenize real world assets like real estate. The key records live onchain, and a metadata authority can hold the write rights so a registrar or regulator manages them while ownership transfers normally.
Missing somethings such as the creation of AONs in the summer but this has been the timeline of the TaoPunks intern.
From Rugged NFTs to Liquid agent-query objects.
You can do it too with Claude and a coffee
I believe the full shape is here.
Sit on my hands and build SZN

Taostats has evolved into a full Bittensor toolkit, and instant answers need serious inference.
We're proud to power Doug, the @Taostats AI agent, now out of beta and living inside subnet pages.
Doug knows Taostats data inside out, and SayGM models power every answer.
Months of work has lead to this point.
Taostats has evolved from the Bittensor explorer you know into a full toolkit:
- A refreshed site
- An upgraded app and wallet
- A rebuilt API
- A new $9 Power plan.
& More
On every device. All live today ⬇

Character AI just shut down. I think this is not going to be an outlier.
AI is a bigger paradigm shift.
The risk is that we have extreme centralization by a few big companies.
For builders, making something agents want will be the only way to create something of lasting value.
Character AI didn’t do that. It was AI + theme, which is not going to work.
Blockchains and crypto will be used more by agents in the near future, if that isn’t already true today.
No matter how good AI is at writing software, it can’t spin up a blockchain with billions of dollars of liquidity.
For crypto developers, AI agents are the only users that matter now.
If it’s not true today, it will be true in 6 months to a year.
As I posted before, I've cancelled almost all of the SaaS subscriptions for my business
The only thing I still pay for as a business:
- AI inference
- Hetzner server hosting
- Cloudflare storage
- Backblaze backups
- Taxes
Now I started cancelling personal subscriptions too and just vibecoding my own versions or using Claude to take an open source project that does the same and then customize it for myself
All I still pay for personally is:
- Claude Code
- YouTube (content)
- Spotify (content)
- Starlink (internet)
- Phone eSIM
- Personal cloud storage
- Electricity and water (utility)
- Taxes
So if we summarize it for both, I only still pay for:
- AI inference
- Content
- Cloud storage & hosting
- Connectivity
- Electricity & water
- Taxes
So to summarize all my money now goes to:
- Content
- Data centers
- Power plants + water
- Governments
I think we'll be facing a tidal wave of cancellations once people find out how much money they can save
It's just how the economy works
