fans call out the blatant sexualization of someone they support, and suddenly we’re OA, parasocial, toxic, KJ - you name it. lagi naman kasalanan ng fans even if they have valid arguments, ‘di ba? funny how the convo becomes about the people calling it out instead of the behavior being called out. nakakapagod having to explain that accountability isn’t the same as shaming someone. we’re asking people to stop normalizing behavior that deserves to be questioned. he shouldn’t have to speak up for people to recognize when a line has been crossed.

At this point, you really have to ask yourself: what makes you different from the people you constantly criticize? Stop preaching principles you’re only willing to practice when they’re convenient for you. #dontnormalizesexualization

truth is, nobody’s perfect !! not even the people we look up to. but when something they do gets called out, maybe try to understand why people found it inappropriate before rushing to defend them. you don’t have to agree w every criticism, but at least consider what’s being criticized instead of dismissing it simply because it involves someone you admire đŸ™‚â€â†”ïž someone’s good deeds and contributions don’t automatically make them incapable of poor judgment. at the same time, calling out a specific action doesn’t erase everything good they’ve done, or mean they should be written off entirely. people can do good and still get things wrong. that’s where accountability and room for growth come in. what’s concerning is when people are so focused on defending someone that they stop questioning the behavior itself. when something worth examining gets brushed off as a joke or defended solely because of who did it, that’s how problematic behavior gets normalized.

and don’t you dare turn this around on belle or use this to claim that we’re just being jealous because we’re shippers. she has absolutely nothing to do w this convo, so don’t even try dragging her into it. this is about respecting donny. and if your only response to this is to bring belle into it, then you’re proving exactly why some people refuse to take convos like this seriously.
i’m sorry but i can’t shake this off. the more i think about it, the weirder it gets. imagine being a female celebrity and finding out that a man went on national tv to talk about dreaming of having sex w you, getting into the details, being asked if he finished, and having the entire thing played for laughs. would we really be this casual about it? ano, kase it’s not that serious? kj ko naman? oa ko? and before anyone says it was just a dream, obviously people don’t choose what they dream about. that’s not the point. having a dream and choosing to make its intimate details about a real person public entertainment are two separate things. the fact that it was treated as a funny little anecdote instead of something worth questioning is what makes it uncomfortable. i’m not a prude, and i’m not particularly interested in defending men for the sake of defending men, but basic respect shouldn’t depend on someone’s gender. yuck. so disappointing.

a joke shouldn’t make others uncomfortable, whether it’s the person being talked about or people who aren’t even involved. sana naisip yan nung nagkwento at nung host. what added fuel to the fire was the supposed “friend” who chose to elaborate pa. imagine if a man said that about a woman. what happened to your reaction to bong suntay’s comments about your girl friend, compared to your comments about donny now? dahil ba lalaki lang si donny kaya okay lang? may free pass? let’s walk the talk, no? why should the standard change simply because the speaker is a woman and the person being discussed is a man? as a host and his friend, you should know the difference between playful banter and sexual objectification. you can acknowledge the dream and move on but you didn’t. tao pa rin naman yang pinag uusapan niyo. the lack of basic human decency, unnecessary sexual explicitness, and objectification are simply too much. 2026 na 😅

Is this the kind of clout they want? Ung ganito ka-trending? So ayan na, happy? And to those with double standards saying na ang OA namin, fan or not, EVERY HUMAN BEING deserves respect. Calling out disrespect isn’t being OA. It’s about basic human decency.

Being unfiltered does not excuse ill behaviour. There’s a way to be honest and candid without losing basic human decency and still be funny. And yes, we cannot control our dreams. What we can control though is what comes out of our mouths. We can choose what to disclose in public and what to keep to ourselves. We can also choose and control the type of conversations that we partake in and the course that these conversations will take. As Donny’s fan, nothing makes me happier than more people admiring him. But if that admiration results to crossing personal boundaries and disrespecting him, then please, it’s better to just leave him out of your conversations especially when he’s not even present to speak for himself on whether he’s comfortable to be the topic of this type of conversations.

funny how people preach about respecting boundaries, pero kapag lalaki ang subject ng sexualization, biglang hindi applicable. if it's inappropriate when directed at women, why is it okay for men? men deserve respect too, and their discomfort isn't a joke.

“you wouldn’t survive the og GGV” and thank god for that! knowing i wouldn’t stand consuming content that is so comfortable with making jokes abt sexualizing and objectifying people. i’m not afraid to not laugh at a joke just bcs others are. rather be called OA than morally grey.

Not even a year ago you were doing this to shade Bong Suntay after his nasty comments towards Anne Curtis (he deserves all the hate btw) but how come you let those things be said about your friend Donny @vicegandako

if they try to downplay this as fans simply overreacting instead of what it actually is (male objectification), im gonna throw hands. i just feel bad for donny for always being subjected to these lewd remarks when he’d been nothing but kind and sincere to everyone.

imagine being well educated, politically inclined and respected only to be dragged publicly because of someone’s fantasies, nakaka baba ng moral. i hate defending men against women, but it’s a different take when they forgot about boundaries.
