Banff back, to the future…two generations later👍👍
A robust transportation system in Banff using trains and buses would be very beneficial to the Town that's overburdened with private vehicles.

Fantastic news for Calgary👍👍 Perfect goal, perfect plan to achieve the goal and perfectly worded. And wording matters most for this topic🤓🥳@yyccc
Coming to Calgary, as the city’s new GM of Planning and Development, Timothy Keane. #Calgary #yycBike #yycWalk #yyc

👍👍 This north-south cycle track is critical connection to all Centre City east-west cycle tracks. 1 St SE was the ‘sacrificial lamb’ that ensured 8-7 vote to proceed with trial. Serves high density office & residential & connects Bow River to Elbow River! @yyccc
It is great to see a spark back in the #yycbike community, especially with the recent #CriticalMassYYC ride. We played great defense on 3rd Ave but perhaps we're overdue on playing offense. 1st St SE cycle tracks were originally planned in 2014. It's time to complete the street!!

Banff & Canmore Alberta Main Streets = similar👍🥰😎
Cities dominated by cars don’t deliver on much of the promise of urban life: they are loud, unsafe, annoying to get around. Terrible for seniors and children. In Montreal you can hear the birds this summer. Children play and old men linger in the heart of the city. Why? Pedestrianization streets. thestar.com/news/gta/car-fre… via @torontostar

Under-appreciated benefit of Main streets in Banff & Canmore, open to pedestrians, wheelers & transit riders only, is the noise level and the type of noise. This short video captures the difference. Listen & compare to your own busy street🤓👍@banffmayor @TownofCanmore
The all electric @roamtransit is amazingly quiet. 🤩 Love the bell to let people in this private-vehicle free zone know it’s there.👍 Notice the other sounds you can hear? @banffmayor

Interesting to see demand for small functional affordable pickup truck in North American market where ONLY trucks available are huge, cab plus, fully loaded expensive trucks. Perhaps cost & parking challenges will shift some demand (& supply) back to reasonable size trucks?
I love this headline so much. People that actually need a truck want a small one

Kudos to Lime for achieving sustainability AND profitability via complete redesign of e-scooters and e-bikes. Interchangeable batteries, modular parts & much longer lifespan=enduring micromobility @BrentToderian 🥳👍
Many doubted there was a path to profitability for shared micromobility. We thought otherwise. 📈 💰 Our VP of Sustainability shares how Lime leveraged sustainability to achieve profitability. li.me/blog/how-lime-leverage…

LOVE Banff’s slogan “Roam Free” @banffmayor. Triple meaning: Roam Transit is free in town; Explore, whenever you wish, the mountain town & national park; Discover Banff, by walking or cycling, unconstrained & at no extra cost to you! Kudos to the genius who created the slogan!👍

Major reversal of migration from Ontario to Alberta, from mid 2021 to mid 2022. From minus 2,000 to plus 22,000. Trend likely continuing. Cost of housing believed to be the major driver of flight from Ontario🤓

2022 was Lime’s best year ever…and profitable. Important milestone for micromobility, especially e-scooters, in cities👍
I am so proud to share that @limebike delivered our first EBITDA profitable year ever! The first micromobility company to achieve this milestone in history! Micromobility is here to stay, and Lime is leading the way to a green transportation future. techcrunch.com/2023/02/21/li…

Anyone who was following the story will know that Calgary City Council voted to fund more #5ANetwork 🚲😀👍 Not as much as I’d like to see and there wasn’t as much emphasis on Safe Routes to Schools but hopefully there will be focus on that area.
Great video & excellent question👍
My kid rides his bike 3km to school. It takes 10 min. He’s lucky there’s a safe path. Will the grown ups in charge be brave enough to build safe routes to all schools? 🚲😀👍 #yycbike #calgary #bike #cycling #school #yyccc #bikebus #biketoschool #familyvehicle
Start with one day per week🤓
A parent at my school made this #BikeBus video. So cool to see these different angles of the ride.
Low hanging fruit #yyccc - work with parents & schools so many more students walk, wheel or bike to school. More time & less stress for parents, healthier and more independent students, reduce perennial school busing issues & less congestion for EVERYONE‼️Leaders needed‼️
The thing not enough people are talking about is if we connected all of Calgary’s schools to the +1,200km of pathways & maintained them year round many/most kids could walk or bike to school & not need bus or drive! #Calgary @yyCBEdu @CCSD_edu #yyccc @CalgaryParks @yyctransport
