Not sure who needs to hear this but.... An LLM doesn't "understand" anything. It is a statistical model that spews out tokens based on probabilities calculated through massive matrix operations and context, not an understanding of the subject matter.

In 1913 the 16th Amendment was passed allowing the government to levy an income tax. The first tax at the time only applied to people who earned over $500,000 in 1913 dollars. Now federal taxes apply to almost anyone who has the audacity to try to make a living.
All I’m asking for is a 2-cent wealth tax on the richest Americans.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump is trying to establish a legacy à la Juan Perón. Peronism is right wing or left wing depending on the way the political winds blow. Mamdani is a natural continuation of Trump’s populism in a way most don’t recognize yet.
Watch Trump flirt with Mayor Mamdani. He obviously has a man-crush on him. There is no denying that.

The underlying premise here is that we live in a free market economy that isn’t rigged against young people. Ben tends to emphasize “personal responsibility” more than blaming the cartelized economy we have today, and then he wonders why people turn to socialism. It’s because people like Ben speak as if we live in a capitalistic system. Do you ever hear him talk about the Federal Reserve and how it’s the engine of inflation and debt? How often does he blame the Fed for making it harder for young Americans to have personal responsibility? What him and GDP-go-up libertarians miss is the most important observation from Mises: economic value is subjective, and that means that people might “irrationally” value their land, family, and roots more than a cheaper standing of living. Once you get that, it’s easier to understand why resentment grows against the policymakers that make their lives too expensive.

“A democracy can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” - Alexander Fraser Tytler

If Biden said: “I’m gonna give every adult $5,000 dollars if Democrats win the House and the Senate!” — every MAGA influencer would be raging, calling it socialism and saying it’s bribery. When Trump does it, all the slobbering jesters celebrate with joy. Wild to watch.

What’s insane about this Clancy case is all the sudden it’s become convenient to discuss the topic of “mental illness”. That said, when a gun is involved in any type of shooting, it’s never about mental illness, it’s always about the gun. Society cannot function if we continue to pick and choose when to deal with mental illness...

Large-scale male unemployment has repeatedly correlated with higher crime (especially violent and property offenses), family breakdown, lower marriage and fertility rates, elevated suicide and substance abuse, social isolation, and reduced civic engagement. Studies link it to slower growth and welfare strain; historical cases show heightened unrest risks when concentrated among young men.

It really makes sense if you think about it... The left's goal is abortion rights until puberty, but they want to block puberty for kids, so they have longer to decide whether they want to kill them or sleep with them.

Why do we keep hearing we’re “running out of money” for Social Security but we never hear about running out of money for welfare, SNAP, Medicaid, etc? Entitlement programs for leeches are fully funded forever, but the thing you specifically paid for isn’t? Someone explain this.

I paid off the loan on my Corvette which means I'm now debt free. Hooray, right? Nope. My credit score dropped from 850 to 820. I've borrowed millions of dollars. Never missed a payment over two decades. Gotta be one of the best credit risks on earth. But, no. Radicalizing.

The lawyer asking her the questions, Marcus Carey, lost to Thomas Massie in a congressional race as well. He claims West is under oath, in the Commonwealth of Kentucky an oath must be administered by a neutral third party. There is no third party in the video. Further a lawyer asking the questions can not put someone under oath should they seek to introduce it in court! Its a misdemeanor. The whole thing is a set up intended to look like "a sworn statement"
