The thing about working in predictive modeling is that you’re typically months ahead on global events, and years ahead when it comes to Pakistan.
All it takes is a slightly higher sensitivity in detecting and structuring those weak signals long before they become data or pattern.
Something is seriously wrong in Pakistan. Def Min Khawaja Asif has revealed that a significant number of govt officers had prepared for their relocation abroad while still serving. Note ‘significant number’ & ‘while still serving.’ Portugal is the new favourite destination for the bureaucratic exodus.
Since bureaucrats have their ear to the ground, is it a case of rats deserting a sinking ship? Just asking.

Today marks 30 days since my aunts, Dr Uzma Khan @DrUzma_KhanPK and Noreen Niazi @Noreen_KhanPK were taken from their homes and detained under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) law.
Their 30-day detention period has now reached its expiry, yet we have received no further order from the Lahore High Court, nor any official communication from the Punjab Home Department or jail authorities explaining the legal basis for their continued detention or confirming their release.
On what legal grounds are they still being held? Why have they not been released?
For an entire month, they have been denied access to their families and legal counsel. Their only crime is standing by their brother, Imran Khan @ImranKhanPTI and refusing to remain silent.
Thirty days of detention. No family access. No legal access. No justice.

My mother, @Aleema_KhanPK Aleema Khan’s 30-day detention period under the colonial-era Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) law has now expired.
Yet, despite the expiry of her 30-day detention period, we have received no further order from the Lahore High Court, nor any official communication from the Punjab Home Department or jail authorities explaining the legal basis for her continued detention or confirming her release.
On what legal grounds is she still being held? Why has she not been released?
Since the day she was abducted and subsequently detained under the MPO, she has been denied access to both her family and legal counsel. One of the strongest voices advocating for her brother, Imran Khan @ImranKhanPTI, has also been silenced.
Thirty days have passed. No family access. No legal access. No justice.
Are the authorities preparing to extend her detention for another 30 days? If so, on what grounds?
We demand her immediate release.
Not another day of silence, obstruction of justice, or denial of her most basic rights is acceptable.

It has been 30 days since my mother and my aunts, Dr. Uzma and Noreen Niazi, were unlawfully detained under the MPO. Throughout their detention at Kot Lakhpat Jail, they have been denied access to family and legal counsel.
No one, especially women, should be subjected to such treatment. With the detention order now ending, they must be released immediately.

It’s now 1172 days of unjust incarceration of @ImranKhanPTI & his health situation remains sketchy & concerning. Keep using every platform to raise voice. Let the true representative of Pakistani people lead it out of crisis.

Lest we forget, Imran Khan continues to be held in a 6x8 prison cell for 3+ years now.
Most of us here wouldn't survive 3 months in a seven-star resort, disconnected and isolated from the world, family, and human contact. And yet, just because he is braving prison with grace, his suffering and pain have been normalized.
And those who raised their voices for his release, his sisters, and cousins have also been abducted and imprisoned.
Our future generations will look back in history and wonder in horror how any of this was even allowed.

FREE IMRAN KHAN.
Pakistan under dictatorship of Asim Munir:
23% extreme poverty
168th on Human Development
25–26 million children out of school
#1 on the Terrorism Index
While India and Bangladesh moved forward, Pakistan under military dominance went backwards.
These are not accidents. These are the results of a system that prioritizes power over people.

The military regime in Pakistan was facing a mounting local and global pressure to release Imran Khan from the prison cell; so what did it do?
Instead of giving medical relief to Imran Khan as instructed by the courts, It created a bigger crisis by overthrowing the provincial government and abducting its top leadership under the pretext of fighting terrorism.
While it diffused the global pressure in short-term knowing that "terrorism" story sells very well to the global audience, but in the process it has done permanent damage to an already fragile social contract.
Like I've said previously, by the time this lot is done with Pakistan, let's hope there is something left of country.

One of cricket’s finest all-rounders, Imran Khan turns 74 today 🇵🇰
His Test record against India in particular was absolutely outstanding 👏

There is only one bowler in the 300-wicket club who averages under 30 against every opposition and in every country. He is a Pakistani, and he is not Wasim Akram or Waqar Younis. Imran Khan turns 74 today, and he is the greatest Test bowler this country has ever produced.
You might be scratching your head, wondering how I could lean towards Imran over Wasim, Waqar and Fazal. I could be slightly biased here, but I have the credits to claim it.
He is the only Pakistani fast bowler with more than five ten-wicket hauls. His career average, strike rate and economy rate are all better than Wasim Akram's.
Richard Hadlee gets a lot of credit for being a lone warrior, but Imran's support bowlers were very similar to Chatfield, Snedden and Cairns. And over the course of his career Imran had to bowl more overs per innings than Wasim or Waqar.
Now look at what he did anyway, in Tests between 1982 and 1989.
With the bat: 54 innings, 1,971 runs, an average of 49.27. Only five players in the world scored more runs at a better average in that period: Miandad, Border, Viv Richards, Dean Jones and Vengsarkar.
With the ball: 43 matches, 210 wickets, an average of 18.76. No bowler on earth picked up more wickets at a better average in those years.
Across his career he averaged 37 with the bat and 22 with the ball, which makes him arguably the most balanced cricketer the game has had. And in his last ten years of international cricket, across 51 Tests, his batting average exceeded 50 while he averaged 19 with the ball. That made him perhaps the only all-rounder after Sir Garfield Sobers who could have merited a place in the side with either one of his skills.
So Imran Khan the fast bowler is short-changed. There is nothing between him and Wasim as far as their bowling is concerned.
If being more watchable makes you a great bowler, then Jimmy Anderson ought to be rated ahead of McGrath and Ambrose.
Imran was unparalleled.
There is no Pakistani male, female, dead, alive, real, imagined as famous as @ImranKhanPTI
The greatest son of the soil has been under unjust imprisonment for 1157 days with no right to a fair trial & regular visitation.
