Republicans are attacking @jamestalarico because they’re terrified of him. Because they know he’s going to beat them.

I’m a straight white dude, a veteran who grew up in a military family on farms in the Midwest. Moved to Texas on a scholarship from the Army. I drive a truck, listen to country music, and love football. I dare anybody to call me UnAmerican, and I’m fully behind Talarico.

- Pac-12 rose above its expectations for annual conference distributions. - Secured a TV package where 100% of its football games land on linear TV. - 1/3rd of all games are on free-to-air TV, 3rd best in the country just behind the SEC and Big 10. Can’t make this up.

Five years ago today. Take a moment today to appreciate how far #TXST has come in that time. I know I will.
Breaking: #TXST AD Larry Teis is stepping down effective August 31, 2021 according to an email sent out to employees. Don Coryell will be the interim AD.

Remember a year ago … just one year … when we were told Doge would balance the budget and do away with income tax? $2k rebate checks? Cheaper fuel costs? Cheaper groceries? Energy costs cut in half and no new wars? Yeah, that didn’t age well.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Greg Abbott was attorney general before he was Governor and he decimated the power of the average person to sue when they were seriously harmed by doctors or big companies through tort reform. He promised our health insurance would become affordable. He lied.
Don't buy his BS. @GregAbbott_TX has been TX Gov for 12 years. Property tax collections have gone up EVERY year he's been Governor. The real impact of Abbott's actions has been gutting public schools for his white nationalist billionaire donors and the grifter voucher industry.

Greg Abbott refused to provide free lunches last summer for 4 million at-risk children. That's his idea of humanity .
James Talarico needs to learn the definition of “humanity”. It is the opposite of humane to advocate for the gender-mutilation of children. Texas rejects this radical ideology & will again in November.

We can thank @GregAbbott_TX and Texas Republicans for this!
Some families across around Round Rock ISD are receiving emails like this from the district, saying the district will “no longer be able to provide bus service” to their kids starting next school year. The district says they were able to do this because all other routes were deemed to be “hazardous”. Their solution? Provide walking routes to school. Some children will be walking 1-2 miles to school. @cbsaustin

On the Corpus Christi water crisis, Gov. @GregAbbott_TX says: “Corpus Christi is a victim not because of lack of water. They're a victim because of a lack of ability to make a decision. What Corpus Christi leaders have to do is make a decision.”
