Robot risk – nobody had ever put real numbers on that. So we did.
Today we're publishing IN BOTS WE TRUST 2026 — the first report on Physical AI risk built from money that actually changed hands: five years of insurance quotes, policies, claims and underwriting decisions across 392 U.S. robotics companies.
What five years of underwriting robots says:
🏅 Robots are a top-1% insurance risk. Every policy year, the program's loss ratio beat the best of the 25 largest U.S. P&C insurers.
💵 The biggest losses came from systems, not individual robots. Cyber fraud against robotics companies accounts for 34% of loss dollars. Robots hurting the public: 12%.
⬇️ Trust got cheaper. The price of robot liability per dollar of revenue fell 69% in three years.
⬆️ Capacity grew 7x. $572M of liability capacity deployed for Physical AI in 2025.
🤖 Safety already pays, and almost nobody shows it. Companies that prove their controls pay 25–65% less.
Robots get deployed where they are trusted. For the first time, that trust has a price, a trend and a map.

~1k investors passed on BusRight.
They said selling to schools wasn’t worth it, hardware was too hard, and the founders didn’t belong in tech.
Today, we announced a $30M fundraise to support the student transportation community.

Heartbreaking. A Minneapolis family driving home from their son’s basketball game in their car with six kids, including a 6-month-old, was hit by tear gas & flash-bangs from ICE agents, leaving their baby struggling to breathe and hospitalized.
This is unacceptable. ICE is making our state less safe.

🔴 RISK #1: You love your technology more than your customer's problems
The tell:
20 slides on your propulsion system, 2 slides on who pays for it.
The fix:
Talk to 20 potential customers—now, not later. Your tech is your solution, but if customer conversations don't immediately validate the problem exists, you're building in the dark.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of building BusRight is getting to the point where I can scale myself out of a role and bring in people who are true experts in their craft.
Excited to share that our next key hire is a CFO 📈

Halter just raised $100 million at a $1 billion valuation and is quietly redefining how 1,000+ farms operate — not with buzzwords, but with collars, data, and software that moves the physical world. My new post all about it - ubqt.vc/p/did-you-just-say-c…

Seed VC is facing an existential crisis.
This isn't hyperbole. And it's not just a regular business cycle. It's a real crucible moment.
