But don’t worry!! Thousands of crores + FULL attention and effort of PMC top admin available for pushing outdated HCMTR and more flyovers and roads on the city 👏👏👏 Seniors and others can fend for themselves 🙏
Rapidly growing Pune city leaves its senior population behind timesofindia.indiatimes.com/… ... cc @MDNagpure @navalMH @SidShirole @mohol_murlidhar "Senior citizens of Pune feel they are no longer navigating a city whose growth is keeping them in mind. Broken pavements, unruly traffic, inaccessible public transport and safety concerns have become daily realities for the city’s ageing population. As per a PMC draft geriatric care policy from 2022 (which has not yet seen the light of day), an estimated 4.3 lakh to 5 lakh Pune residents are aged 60 and above. Today, as the city expands and develops, the gap between infrastructure and the needs of its elderly residents is widening."

🙏 Because some people still read!!! For the rest, take your sides and argue endlessly….
Why is ECI forcing millions of people to file a false declaration that carries criminal penalties? Last week our petition, challenging the requirement that voters deleted during Delhi SIR should fill Form 6, was mentioned in the Supreme Court. Form 6 includes a declaration that: “I am applying for inclusion in Electoral Roll for the first time...”, and a false declaration is punishable under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, with imprisonment of up to one year, a fine, or both. Now, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Maharashtra has sent a proposal to the ECI to amend Form 6 so that voters deleted during the SIR can apply to get back on the electoral roll without declaring that they are enrolling “for the first time”. Our petition in the SC highlights that- - Over 47 lakh voters deleted under the Absent, Shifted, Dead or Duplicate (ASDD) category, have no other mechanism of applying for restoration of their name on the voter list other than filling Form 6, which is meant only for first time voters. - The changes made to Form 6 & 8 (additional declaration) through the SIR guidelines is illegal, as the statutory process for making such additions/ amendments has not been followed. - The prescription of different forms for applying for name inclusion during SIR and non-SIR periods is legally not tenable. The CJI led bench agreed to hear the matter on October 28 and indicated that they will pass an order addressing the concerns.

Proposal would drop “New Voters” from the title of Form 6 and let the deleted cite their old EPIC number. It lands as 20 states bring “left out” voters back through that very form. indianexpress.com/article/in…

As the Election Commission launches a special drive in 20 states to bring back voters “left out” in the SIR, its officers are staring at a unique problem: persuading lakhs, possibly crores, of people to fill Form 6, the “Application Form for New Voters,” which asks them to declare they are applying “for the first time.” Form 6 is the right route back, and officials say signing it invites no legal action. But people who’ve voted for decades balk at calling themselves new, and many believe the declaration is false. Against that backdrop, Maharashtra’s CEO has proposed a fix: drop “New Voters” from the title, and let the deleted say they were enrolled before and cite their old EPIC number. youtube.com/watch?v=iVuRaU_-… From @jocatagrid we had a very insightful interview with @billdesk Co-founder M.N. Srinivasu - asked him who has been paying for the "supposedly free" UPI so far and some other questions that were on our minds - we didnt get into the rates and sector specific points of the MDR, but spoke on the impact of this move on small businesses. Vasu made some really interesting points - this interview was recorded last week- he said that UPI was actually business infrastructure, not just a payment tool and adoption will definitely grow with MDR, merchants will see increased scale of business despite the cost, fintechs will offer more services beyond payments - and this is important - if and when banks roll out credit on UPI, that would push a credit revolution. We also touched on what makes a public good and regional disparities - Enjoy! @NPCI_NPCI @UPI_NPCI @DFS_India @dugalira @monikahalan @SMahashur @Girbane @OldWonk @TamalBandyo

Throughout my sporting career, I questioned my coaches, challenged ideas and remained curious. Not because I lacked respect but because I wanted to understand, learn and get better. I worry that when athletes feel they cannot speak freely, something far more troubling happens over time. They slowly stop questioning even in their own minds. And when that happens we loose something essential to sporting excellence. We need athletes who question their own work, their coaches, the methods recommended to them and the structures they operate within. Not out of defiance but out of a genuine desire to improve. What some might consider indiscipline may, in fact, be essential to growth. There is a difference between an athlete who refuses to learn and one who refuses to stop asking questions. Sport must be wise enough to recognise that difference.

True. “responsible” is key of course
If every citizen becomes a responsible journalist, then it will only be problematic for corporate-backed media, comprised judiciary, and corrupt government.
