I have always said that no one explains better than someone who is close to getting a First Class. You go just dey explain, explain, explain, but no evidence. Especially in a world where people with First Class degrees are celebrated the most.

Today, I went back to my notes to revisit what I've been learning about SQL injection. 👾👾 Sometimes, making progress isn't about learning something new. It's about going back, reviewing what you've learned, and making sure you actually understand it.
Solved 3 SQL injection labs on PortSwigger! 👾👾 Learned how UNION attacks can retrieve data from other tables, combine multiple values in one column, and identify columns that accept text.

Shout to @twenty4_io and @akintunero , for giving me the chance to put my cyber/networking jagbajantis into practice…😁 I recall they both said “ Na one day something Dey start”.. My interest for Network engineering -Network security grew more from then.

Just saving for what I don't know, but I'm pretty sure I will need that money sooner or later 🙏. Finger crossed 🤞 😂

Module 14 on Cisco Networking Academy focused on routing. This was one of those modules where earlier lessons started connecting. I finally understood how routers decide where packets go next.
Truly, when they say practice makes perfect, it isn't a cliché. Today's practical made that obvious. I finished Module 13, which brought together MAC and IP addressing and how they work with each other.

7/7 I scored 75% on the Module 14 quiz on my first attempt. No retakes needed. Another module completed, and another piece of networking finally making sense.

6/7 Routers also help divide large networks into smaller segments. This reduces broadcast traffic, makes troubleshooting easier, and helps improve network security.

5/7 The default gateway came up again. When sending data to a remote network, a host uses ARP to find the gateway's MAC address. The frame goes to the gateway, while the IP packet keeps the actual destination address.

4/7 I also learnt how routing tables guide a router's decisions. They contain network destinations and the paths used to reach them. If no matching route exists, the router drops the packet unless a default route is configured.

3/7 When a router receives a frame, it removes the Ethernet header, checks the destination IP address, selects the right interface, and wraps the packet in a new frame. That's why MAC addresses change at each hop while IP addresses remain the same.

2/7 A switch uses Layer 2 MAC addresses to forward frames. A router uses Layer 3 IP addresses to move packets between different networks. Understanding this difference made the role of each device clearer.

Today’s cybersecurity progress. Completed my cybersecurity quiz on the TSAcademy LMS and scored 100 Also submitted my assignment on penetration testing and soc.
Today, I moved into the reporting stage of pentesting. I learned how to communicate security findings to both engineers and managers, from technical evidence and impact to clear remediation recommendations.
